Sigh... Sorry about that. Maria is due to be part of the pack, but circumstances have left me lacking in time to complete her. Chan was working for me without going into the avatars, it's just not advisable to select him as an opponent, just as an avatar.
You shouldn't need to move Denise and Chan for them to work. The game definitely supports having outfits for the same opponent scattered across different opponent folders as long as everything is named properly.
