Really fun! I liked the game and the art is really cutesy

Developer

Thanks :D

That's a good premise. I would just add a warning or something indicating the direction the enemy would appear, precisely because the screen is small and the characters are large; this would make it easier to dodge the enemies, especially since they only die if the light is pointed at them.

Developer

Yes, unfortunately the screen size is a limitation of the engine I use (Scratch), although as you suggest, adding a warning about where enemies spawn would have been a solution, but at least the power-ups mitigate that problem somewhat.

Honestly had a lot more fun than I was anticipating, nice job, friend.

I think adding some game feel effects to the killing of the characters, and reducing the music volume, would make this a fun little arcade game.

Developer

Thanks. And since you mentioned it, the enemies and characters have sound effects (although they might not be very noticeable over the music). Also, originally the enemies were going to change their appearance every time they took damage, something that didn't make it into the final version. But I'm glad you like the game :)

Developer

Before anything else, I'd like to clarify a few things:

1. I've noticed that some people don't understand how to play, so I've updated the game's page to show the controls.

2. In story mode, there are five waves plus one final wave, because I have the feeling that many people don't reach the end.

3. I'm glad you like the game. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks for reading.

Fun for a minute or two - I liked how picking up presents gave you a wider cone of light. :D

Each stage features a new enemy with different mechanics, adding some variety to the game, although some stages are unnecessarily long :/

And I see you really like the Light Gift upgrade; that upgrade makes things much easier :)

I really liked the megaman-style music on this one

Developer

It's more of a retro style, but I don't really know because I got the music from the internet, but it's good that you like it

Good game! Loved the movement, unique game idea, buffs are nice touch!

Developer

The improvements make the game much easier, especially in the final stage ;)

Really enjoy the gameplay and the music! Awesomely done :D

Developer

The gameplay is simple but functional; I was inspired by a game I saw at a convention. And as for the music, I got it from the internet :P
