There is a lot of lagging maybe beacause the level size is quite big. This depends on how Godot is handling this. Anyway, the game is playable but it lacks some features. Perhaps most importantly, there is almost no variation in the level design. This means the player may lack incentives to explore the level.
This is a fun short game for a 1st project. I liked how you already implemented important platformer features like jump buffering and variable jump height. However, there is a LOT that can be improved in this game:
Despite these aspects, I still had fun while playing and think that this game is a solid 1st game project. Keep developing :)
Hey Everyone!
I just added the WEB version so you can play directly in your browser!
Please note there might be a few small stutters on the web build (Godot web exports can be a bit heavy), but it is fully playable. This is my very first game and I am still learning, so if you have any advice on how to polish it further, I would be happy to learn from your feedback!
Thanks for playing!
Quite nice demo! Cool graphics and the controls are indeed responsive!
Would be amazing to have more content, I only found out about the down attack when reading the description, could be cool to have some in game mechanic to force you to experiment and find it at some point.
Curious to see where this will go! Very well done for a first jam!
