I get where ya coming from as a fellow nsfw game dev but you gotta understand this from itch's point of view too.

If their payment processors pull out that'd screw the entire site, not just nsfw devs, til they find a new payment processor. Atleast they made it so our stuff can still be seen, sure we can't turn a profit from itch directly anymore but at least our stuff isn't hidden anymore.

Sure we cant make money directly but we can still have our stuff get found and searched and seen on the platform, just need to make money off the platform off patreon, subscribestar, etc, its still a great place to get your stuff noticed, :3

I find it increasingly difficult to believe that Itch.io is seeking a new payment processor. I think they made that claim simply to shut us up. And I don't see any point trying to juggle my work across Itch.io and Subscribestar when Itch.io is so hostile to my work.

If Itch.io eventually does comes through and fix their platform, I'll consider putting more of my games on the site. Until then, Itch is not worth my time and effort.

Yeah, itch.io said at some point something about "oh we're looking for a new payment provider" but I think they're just quietly hoping that we all forget about it. I still plan to participate in some game jams here but if I ever release anything else substantial, I'm likely to just register a dot com, make a page for the game here with just screenshots and a link to my main site once it's up and running.
