...You seem confused. There's no "Recent Announcements" section, do you mean Release Announcements? Either way that's a forum category. It has nothing to do with blog posts. And the Most Recent tab under Browse lists projects. Speaking of which, you don't even have a project yet. Did you make an unattached blog post? Those don't show up anywhere.

It is. Because itch.io usually considers such posts to be suspicious and does not index them, as they are not linked to an indexed game

Sadly, they are swamped with malware postings. 40 of 52 such posts are malware blog posts for the most recent 4 hours.
It's a follow up to request 326785, in case an admin want's to have a look. Spam comments are one thing, but those blog postings are findable via Google and have borrowed legitimacy by being hosted on Itch.
Thanks. The scammers know why they like to post on weekends. The initial reports and the first follow up are all still operational.
As an additional info for those blog posts, they also can appear in google. Within hours even.
Searching Teryndor Caelorn's Quest yields the blog post as first result. Even before the Youtube page and the Steam page. Itch ranks very high in relevance for Indie games.
(Which is why those blog posts are so popular for scammers, I guess)
