From a writing standpoint, I’m using a style similar to the time period but I can see where you’re coming from.
However, I’ve been receiving a lot of speculation about my nationality, and kindly ask that these types of comments not be sent.

I didn't clock that it is a time period thing; I guess cause that would usually be old English or in this case, simply old German? It's an interesting approach, but one to reconsider I think!
Sorry about that, I think people speculate so much because the influence of another language on your writing is very strong, and it makes them curious!

Oh not at all!
The style is loosely based on early 18th century with some conlang I created thrown into the mix. You can say the world is inspired by the Germany in that era.
It’s an intentional choice, not something I would change stylistically for the first few chapters. But I get it lol! It’s not always everyone’s preference. I still aim for readability overall hahaa
Next update will have the prelude be polished as I’m reworking some plot points and prose.
