I joined the jam when only 12-13 days were left but my cousin sister’s wedding took up 3 of them After that we had guests at home and I had no idea how to make an NPC AI that alone took me around 5 days I completed the rest of the game in 4 days and on the last day I had to keep the NPC simple due to limited knowledge and no help Next time I’ll definitely try to do better

I'm even worse off than you. I only started working on it six days ago. Unfortunately, I forgot the rules—it required importing Player2 into the game. I only saw it in the last two hours, and I was terrified. I was wondering what to do. The game itself wasn't very good, and now there's this Player2 setting. Looks like I won't get the prize. No worries, I'll try again next time and do better.

This was my first 2D game, and I had no idea about NPC AI or even 2D games, but it took me 4–5 days to make the game and 5–6 days for the NPC AI at the same time. I almost quit because the NPC AI wasn’t working, and I thought it was paid, but I managed to complete it with a lot of difficulty.

can you tell me  how much I participated in the jam, how much I won, how much I lost, and how much I left in between. This is my first time because last time I only completed the screen level.

Wow, you're amazing! To complete NPC AI on your first 2D game and persevere is incredible. I can tell you've put a lot of time and effort into the project. It was tough, but you gained valuable experience and a sense of accomplishment. Facing challenges is part of growth, and unfinished parts can be improved next time. Keep it up, you'll definitely do even better next time! I support you!

Thank you so much

This level you've added is also very well done; it's quite long and has many monsters. It's a typical 2D platformer game. I suggest you make it into 8 chapters, each with 8 levels. That would be even better, with a boss every four levels and a final boss in the last level of each chapter. This would greatly increase the replayability and make it more enjoyable.

You gave a really good suggestion, I liked it. I made the game quickly just for the jam, so I didn’t create that many levels.

By the way, can you tell me which game engines you use, how many jams you’ve participated in, how many you’ve won, how many you’ve lost, and how many you left in between?

Okay, let me be clear: the game engine I use is Cocos Creator. It's a nearly fully functional game engine that can make any game, but the exported images are blurry. I don't know why yet; I'm still figuring it out. You asked me how many times I've participated? To be clear, not many, just once. This is my second time. The first time was not long ago at the 2025 Horror Jam. I didn't win the competition, but I still persevered and created a unique game.

Oh, I think this is the first or second time you're hearing about this engine. Someone had suggested a game engine with the same name to me before—maybe that was you.

But bro, if you use the Cocos Creator game engine, then in my situation you won’t be able to use Player2’s NPC AI system. As far as I know, it’s only available for Unity and Godot right now, and in the future it might come to Unreal only.

Oh, I see. It's okay, it's alright if I don't win.

Uh, so do you know how to set up NPC AI?

I don't know how to settings NPC AI so this is the error in Player2:

He said my game doesn't have NPC AI, and if I don't change it, he will reject and delete it.
