actully dark to light mean  you should  erase bad personlty  and save inocent  so in this case  you kill bad monter to save  your king  but at the  end  bad spirit  make  counterol at  king  which means if your relative or a  good person make  bad you should also stop him so king was a normel human but counteroled by  bad sprite  so you have not any  other option so you killed your king  then there was not any body which means when  bad personltys have not more sources then they will die so you erase the badness as a prize you became new king
