Unique little game! It has a lot of potential going forward if you want to try more like this. Here is my playthrough for internet archive purposes.
interesting in concept but the lack of feedback makes what could have been an absolute gem of the jam fall flat, its hard to tell when you are actually making progress during a round as enemies do not visually or audibly show that they are taking damage, also the gambling mechanic being able to reduce reward mod really makes it feel like some rounds would be better not played cause they arent worth it. i do like the implementation of the night or day mechanic though it really feels like it just changes enemy sprites apart from werewolves being faster.
Thanks for the feedback!
Really dig the unique gameplay and the sprites. Simple and addicting, great job.
Thanks :)
Spooky Sphere has a very interesting menu system! I couldn't figure out if there is a third tier or if it's just the two but that system including the damage per type of enemy, seems excellent for an action RPG :o very interesting indeed
Thanks! I spent almost half the jam getting that menu working, lol
And there’s only two tiers in this build.
First off — the roguelike gameplay, the gambling, the stats, the shop, and everything in between — man, that’s mind-blowing! Really blew me away, fantastic work! The enemy animations and weapon play were a little tough, but I loved the unique touches like using a wooden stake to kill vampires and all the creative details. Overall, that was super impressive and badass! I had a lot of fun and I’m excited to see what you come up with in the future!
Thanks!
And yeah, there’s a lot of rough edges haha. Lots of things had to get scrapped and reprioritised to get something playable submitted in time.
