Thanks for playing and for letting me take part on the jam! Yeah this came out a bit of a mess since I should have aimed it for browsers from the get go lol I'm really happy though with this jam kickstarting this and will keep developing the project, but keeping in mind performance lol

I won't complain, I could've used a bit of extra time too lol I might update my game so it performs better :o but I don't know I'm happy as it is too :v On the other jams I participated it looks like only around half the people that joined posted their games, even some people that made cool insane stuff end up not submitting sometimes! Hope more people submits with this extra time
That's not completely clear to me either, the documentation says:
"You don't need to use TimeDelta() if the action expects values in "units per second" (such as moving an object with forces). In these cases, GDevelop automatically accounts for differences in frame rates."
But I'm using those forces! My character controller is pretty complicated though I think it can be simplified a lot, I'll look into it after the jam ends :o
Thank you for playing! I figured out too late the effects were sucking resources like crazy :c probably the game logic could be better optimized too :o I learned a ton while making this tho I can't complain :v Can I ask what system have you played it on? I've tried it on an Intel N100 tablet pc and collision works but it stutters a bit! It's unplayable with the effects on though :/
Hi everyone! I'm Nick! I've found this jam on Itch's jams tab and joined just before the joining period ended, Is this open for everyone to join? I mean some jams already have communities behind on discord and stuff like that... I don't want to just be a random dude joining in (?) lol pls let me know if it's ok if I join!
I use almost exclusively Open Source programs on my games (Blender for 3D stuff, Krita to make textures and drawing and GDevelop to make games, sometimes), mostly because they're free... I think I can make a little sidescroller using GDevelop but I don't know how to share the "code" without sharing the art and sound included, can I keep it "closed" for this one? And last question, how will the voting work? Thank you and I look forward to play everyone's games!
Since this project was abandoned half trough the time we had it has no refinement in how the player controls/feels! The minimalist theme didn't resonate with me at all so I didn't even sent the game for playtesting :v I can't tell people to play something I'm not actually proud of lol All the effects that bother you can be disabled from the menus, I recommend you play it again with recoil and head bob disabled to see the full map since people seems to enjoy that part of the game! Playing it now myself the movement speed of the player should be tweaked (although doing that would ruin all the jumps) but really this game came out how it came out lol Thank you for playing and for the kind words!
Cool concept, gun feels good and the hostages idea is fun! I don't know if I did something wrong, I found the last person but I got stuck in that zone and couldn't go back to advance to the mall! The blue flashes when picking up items destroyed my eyes, this game might need a warning for epileptic people lol
Looks amazing and does a TON to make a different style of game with the engine! To me it was insanely difficult tho, and not rewarding enough, I just wanted to escape all fights lol it also crashed a couple of times but nothing got corrupted and could continue from where I was, probably some unstable stuff from EFPSE
Loved the art and the concept of a hand drawn story! As a kid I wanted to make a card game about robots with the same spirit of "I'll make it as I go" lol I think there's some rough edges here and there but it was nice to play!
Side notes:
1 - looks like the first weapon fires too rapidly?
2 - pls be careful when exporting your game, if you don't want the games files exposed you should use "build and pack", (ignore me if you did this intentionally)
3 - for some reason I couldn't change some settings like the mouse sensitivity or toggle fullscreen
Itch does this for some EFPSE games, sadly we couldn't figure out why and itch doesn't provide any tools to solve it! Usually people just download anyway! I can provide a gamejolt link if you don't want to download from here https://gamejolt.com/games/goblinunrest/1052359
I like the concept but execution is not great, enemies have too much health, or maybe there's too many! I like finishing games but I couldn't continue once I got into a part that has no lighting at all, maybe it's a bug? I can barely see anything and enemies chip away health in the darkness while I stumble around! Stuff I liked the weapons, the story, the 3d models/the offices! Might try it again later to see if I can finish it, this session was around 30 minutes also this game's name could be a 2010s metalcore or deathcore band name lol
You're right about the mosquitoes blood! I didn't thought about that! I edited the default blood and let everyone bleed the same, but I can update that! Bullet holes are not the default but it was done without much care... also it should be easy to change too! I'll try put some time into updating santa in a couple of days! Thanks again for the feedback, and no I just have some ideas and slap em onto the project lol I'll keep all comments in mind
Thank you for playing! About lighting I couldn't figure out in time how to fix it, the map looked ugly or the weapons looked without light... so I sacrificed the weapons lol I saw the sleigh bug on a video too, I think I forgot something there, that should be easy to fix! The game was going to be bigger, but I ran out of time that's why the turret map is so bland :v I don't really know if people will play this out of season? But I can upload at least a more polished version although honestly I need a small break first lol thanks for the review!
