You're right about the mosquitoes blood! I didn't thought about that! I edited the default blood and let everyone bleed the same, but I can update that! Bullet holes are not the default but it was done without much care... also it should be easy to change too! I'll try put some time into updating santa in a couple of days!  Thanks again for the feedback, and no I just have some ideas and slap em onto the project lol I'll keep all comments in mind

Thank you for playing! About lighting I couldn't figure out in time how to fix it, the map looked ugly or the weapons looked without light... so I sacrificed the weapons lol I saw the sleigh bug on a video too, I think I forgot something there, that should be easy to fix! The game was going to be bigger, but I ran out of time that's why the turret map is so bland :v I don't really know if people will play this out of season? But I can upload at least a more polished version although honestly I need a small break first lol thanks for the review!

Noooo dude thank you for hosting this! I wish you a great start of the year!

be patient dude, can you make it work in a smaller screen and windowed?

I use itch waaay more than game jolt since it's more games focused, I think theproblem is with the play button somehow not working since the game launches just fine! My pc is win 11 and res 1920x1080 after starting the screen fades to black and then goes back to the start picture

played this out of curiosity after the jam lol happy holidays :v while I'm not a fan of furrys, the sprite art in this is very good! Textures need some work to make the sprites feel like they belong there! The artist clearly knows how to draw weapons, enemies and characters but the world is not so nice to look at! I know it is a challenge to achieve good looking textures but I believe it is doable! Maybe going full comic style with the textures? Hope it keeps getting updated, all the monsters and weapons are excellent!

Hi! There's a version of EFPSE that's been updated (by another dev) and removed that original limit, and also adds a lot of new stuff!
here's the link to their github:
https://github.com/CG8516/DumpingGround/tree/main/EFPSE_DEVBUILDS

Thank you for playing my game! Do you have a place to see your games/progress?

Let's gooo! Glad you like it and hope to see more games in the future! What I did is not that crazy once u learn some stuff! Well the engine is a bit of a nightmare sometimes lol but its a thing of learning its quirks lol

Thanks for commenting! Yeah I had other people "struggling" with the turret part, most people could get past it in a few attempts tho! I think I could've made turrets shoot slower to make less damage per second but the game was published without player testing since I run out of time! I'm actually just happy it looks like it didn't crash on anyone yet lol thank you for playing!

Game looks excellent, clever use of textures to build the map scenery! The ultra jump thingy is kinda hit and miss tho sometimes I jump 700 meters sometimes is like double the normal jump height! The precision required for some jumps is though too! Weapon and enemy balance is really good, overall a very polished game, maybe a bit too big

It's a pretty decent lookin game with some rough edges, santas with guns can snipe you from very far making it not fun difficult sometimes... explosions in general are kinda wonky in EFPSE too but that's a thing for all the games that use explosions, the story gave me enough curiosity to keep trying tho! The boss fight screamed for a more brutal weapon but I ended cheesing the dude just standing in the door lol

hahaha a third person game?? You made me think if it's posible to have a 3d model there?? How would that work... Wish I could one shot these losers tho I guess I'm eviler than bowling santa LOL the little map details = beautiful. I think I ended with 1 reindeers extra so I guess santa won't be hungry this christmas

This game has a curious relationship between the FOV and the mouse sensitivity, looks like it has some quake inspiration there, it's really short tho and a bit too bright for what's going on

I'm happy to see a horror game on this jam! Seems a lot of effort was put into making the house look nice with the custom modifiers which is insane to me lol those are a nightmare to make XD krampus is fast but I am smart! That's what I tell myself to sleep at night. I think if this game gave me a bit more to do it would be better! The house design invited me to explore more!

I expected more I don't know why! lol Jumps once you get the hang of those are easy, you have a lot of air time where you can jump after disconnecting with the platforms, but the enemies being overpowered and all weapons nerfed af is too much, give me one or the other but both? The price for punishing me so much needs to be HUGE but there's no huge price at the end XD I did play it until the end but I had to save after trying for 25 minutes in the first "hard" jumps, so far the weakest representation of software skeleton in any game, but looking forward to this universe in the future

I love the visuals and color scheme of this game, also I think it's the only sci-fi one? Being a bit more ambitious would've helped it a lot! More weapons more enemies etc, maybe enemies get faster the more dudes you find stuff like that

Dev I have a confession... I cheated in your game... I was really confused at the beginning I thought it was two of the same item but it wasn't... Then I couldn't kill the guards... more confused lol I had to deploy a tactical girlfriend with pen and paper to finish your game! I'm sorry but while the idea is really creative/fun it asks a lot from the player lol maybe we need clues? or a way to get rid of the guards so it isn't so punishing XD also don't ever dare to remove the exit game button ever again

That's a lot of enemies dude a lot hahaha I ended up "speedrunning" everything XD There's a bunch of nice ideas like the npcs giving different items but it needed a bit of explanation (I did end up looking up later lol but anyway)! I found the weapon by myself, but the saving was confusing! I needed the dog? But the dog didn't say anything or did anything :o

All the art is amazing in this game! Gameplay was a bit directionless but the art hooks one enough to keep exploring XD I need to try your other game :v

I think this is an interesting idea lol I'm a death metal guitarist/singer I can't accept the AI music lol it's been a pain being a musician these days but ignoring that Its a very simple game and the art fits well enough, it is fun to snipe the innocent with presents

Pretty nice game, the movement and guns work pretty nice! Loved the flamethrower :v I think the map textures could fit better with the pixelart? Or maybe it's the contrast between the pixel art and the high quality edges of the 3d that looks a bit off to me

This is a very complete game,  looks like most of the "new" EFPSE mechanics are present? Hated the sniper santas tho! There's a lot to explore tho! I died a lot tho! There's a lot of weapons tho! Took me awhile to find the last santa and then game died lol I might try it later to see the special weapons  too

kinda feel the same but it isn't like this particular game made anything with it? Like the art doesn't even look good, maybe it was a thing like if they didn't use ai they wouldn't make a game for the jam? Is it better to have another person participating? At the same time I put like 2 hours drawing the cover for my game, I think it is still way better to see "bad" human art lol

lol why all the elves talk dirty? hahaa I kept dying since the santas are ruthless but it was finishable

Launches in a big resolution had to edit config.ini like an old dog (?) lol the concept of being a buff latin santa is very interesting but if falls a bit short in the execution! The gun needs to deal more damage to be coherent with such an epic arm :v I liked the art and would like to see more but with the textures drawn too, in the future

Thank you so much!!

Thank you for including the "ñ"! And all the other accentuated characters! c:

I was using the boomerang, the spell was the one that freezes everything and I can't remember the armor, only that I had like 8 or 9 hearts

Finished it in around 2hs, but I got a crash when killing the mage first in the battle with the big armored dude, the grey ghost and the skeleton, this didn't happen if I kill the big dude first! Also it looks like the big armored dude didn't deal damage to me!

Anyway I enjoyed it a lot XD There's a bunch of enemies/bosses I didn't see before that are amazing! I'll replay it if it gets updated since I want to play it without loosing any villages too lol! My only recommendation/opinion would be to have some grim, sad, very dark text (?) for the villages that are lost XD I loved the ending, congratulations again!

the crash report:

Congratulations!! I'll play it right now and make a new video with the full game! Are there future projects after the last knight?

Let's goo! I want to see more of your art style and where things go lml

loved it but it's pretty hard :o

oh my, the difficulty has gone waaay up in this version! :o the cursor shows as a red square too in my pc, and there's no way to exit the game from the main menu when the game is in fullscreen :o enemies look nice now tho

I don't know how itchs jam system works, it might not be possible to configure a jury and let the system define the winner including the jury's vote! It might not be that crazy for games to be pulled out of jams too, I imagine this could happen in any jam :v but for now lets see who won today lml

There's some math to do to understand lol but yeah if we are the jury and half of them don't rate you have a problem! In one hand imagine I could have just one person rate my game 5 stars everything and it would "win"(itch.io doesn't work like that)! So it is still unfair if I win with half the ratings, the only fair way to participate is if everyone rates! Or if there's a jury it would be fair :v there's no "punishment" for not rating lol also the technical issues, if someone decides to not play (and so not rate) a game since EFPSE games get flagged as a virus or like this situation where my game wouldn't run emulated on linux! Those are issues that game devs can't do anything about! It bothers that I "risked" my pc when other people just won't play and can't rate or just won't rate! I think these are things that can be taken into account for the next time? I'll try to share these "concerns" with Mike if I'm allowed to participate in another one lol I won't be an outsider the next time... It's all a fine

you can see how many people rated the games in the top right! No, if no one rates you just can't win! This needs a system that forces people to rate lol it's fine tho there's no need to make a big deal about this we'll have more opportunities in the future hehe

man I don't make the engine and they make it for windows, but thanks for trying it I guess! If the engine supported linux shenanigans I would check for that but you're asking too much! I decided to get vlad out of the jam, I can see the game wasn't being rated and this one interaction was the last kick! I'll still look forward to what anyone is doing tho since I fukin adore video games and suffering

I'm glad you could download it! I still can't figure out why some people get this warnings, maybe it's my country? Maybe its just itch, who knows
