So, we have tracks that go like this ↔ and like this ↕. Could we have tracks that go like this ↗ ? And also pieces to connect these to the regular tracks. That would be really cool...

(surely someone already tell but...)  A FRIEND PAGE PLSSSSS AAAAAA. 

A wey to safe some users (like fellas, random person, or similar), to get they ghost more easily. Now i am with a friend playing in the same acc to fight each other, but with a wey to safe this user, will make so much easy get to they ghost, and figth tehm jeje. If you go to "profile" and click on the account you want to save you'll see a button that's called "export". If you click on that button you will get a message that says: "dont share this code with anyone". You gotta click on "confirm". Then you'll get a code. Just copy the code and place it in a document or write it down. 

If you accidently removed the account you can go to "profile" again and click on "import". Just put your code there and you'll get your account + all your worldrecords back.

Yeah I Know! ^^ i use this to play with a friend in the samd acc (i have my main acc), i do this to fight each other, otherwise it will be so hard to find each other on the learderboard 😔🥲, for that i suggest to add a friend page / favorite page where you can save users, and they records of the learderboard. An easier way to find your friends on the leaderboard is definitely planned!

Maybe also some form of custom leaderboards so you could create a leaderboard for your school for example

I feel that, if possible, the import codes, especially for big maps, should be compacted somehow. The code to my city map is too long and I just wish it was smaller. 


Also I think that there should be props, such as stands, street cars and trucks that could add obstacle, lap counters and etc.

I’m sure others have complained about it in this community thingy

After the first turn there is an unexpected drop which causes you to restart the first attempt of playing the game.

The part just after (before the second checkpoint) flows well

After that, the 180 turn causes you to loose a lot of speed

The the next 90 degree turn is hard to get perfect and you end up loosing even more speed

Then the last part looks really bad

I think it would be nice if you were able to select everything in the editor and shift it up/down/left/right so that people don't need to delete the entire section just so they can fix one small part.

I've noticed a few notable issues 😅:

1. Also the turning ( using on-screen controls ) doesn't work half the time, specifically with the left button ( or right if controls are flipped ). It seems to have this "cooldown" before I can press it again.

2. On PC, there seems to be some random but somewhat short lag spikes ( although particles still animate in-place ), atleast I noticed that when updating from 0.4.x to what I believe is currently 0.5.x

3. The game for some reason crashes—showing an error message upon completing any level, seemingly when offline :/ , Atleast on mobile.

4. I've seen this pointed out already however the game does seem to have some notorious performance issues in large maps ( especially the community ones ) so it'd be nice if it were further optimized.

1. What browsers and device is this on?

2. This happens when the game is CPU limited. In this case lowering the graphics will not help and there isn't really much that can be done.

3. Is this in the Android app? I think it's the same issue as mentioned below

4. The next major update will contain some pretty big CPU performance optimizations, but this won't help in cases when you are GPU limited. I think large tracks might be more GPU limited so it might be harder to optimize.

3. Yes It's on the Android app specifically, I haven't been able to reproduce the issue on the PC build ( Linux )

I recently tried to get a track, but it wasn't able to import because it's from v4 of the game. I'd like a track code converter or so to enable people to play literally every track made before a month or two ago. All of those tracks are now unplayable for anyone who never had them. :(


Although if someone does have an old track, they gould get the code for it via that button and post it to recover it :/

No, all tracks from older versions are compatible so this should already work.

Check if the track code was copied correctly!

seems to be correct. It's the first code from here, and I think I tried some other one before.

fails on the original sludge works from the very beginning, too. :/ at least on Firefox. (Although I don't think that should have any effect)

Actually, even new codes don't work if they're too large, although I can reload and overwrite large tracks. Perhaps my cache is full :/

There is limited storage space in browsers, so most likely you're out of space!

Try removing some tracks and see if that helps

I Downloaded polytrack on my phone, but I cant move my car with the buttons

There are no analog controls in the game currently, but this should be possible after controller support is added!

But I wonder if it would be precise enough?

hey so on polytrack 0.51 it is almost unplayable on m1 mac or any mac in genral the only way i can play it in school is to download it to mac and when i do that is becomes increadably laggy and will just stutter so bad ive messed with the settings all i can next im going to try to downlaod older versions to see if any of those work back before it was blocked it ran great in my web browser but not it bacicaly wont run at all i love this game and love to compeat with my friends in it i just wish there was some way to fix this

Do I understand correctly that it used to run fine in the browser, but now that you're using the downloaded version it runs badly?

Maybe the downloaded version is using software rendering in that case?

this is a big bug I’ve come across:

When in the track editor, sometimes it freezes and a copy thingy pops up in the top left corner of my screen

It looks like the webview on your phone is very old!

See if you can update your webview somehow. It may also help with problems in other apps too!

Ocean theme tracks and night mode, with light sources would be cool

Placeable light sources won't be possible without preventing people on low-end devices from playing the game.
Night time might still come if I can get it to look good with just the light from the moon, but we'll see!

Tell me more about what you had in mind with the ocean theme tracks!

Boosters might come, but recently I've been leaning more towards not implementing them since I want to keep the game simple.

Either way it's not going to be a priority for a while!

One thing that would be really helpful is being able to see the replay of your most recent run even if it isn't a PR. Sometimes I get a crazy shortcut and want to show my friends but don't have any video to send :/ I'm not asking for a replay code system (obvious cheating problems associated), just for a way to watch back like a normal replay so I can record it with my phone 😅. Also, I don't know how the framework for map/leaderboard database works but I think it would be really cool if I could click on somebody's profile and see all of their times on their played maps, and maybe even a list maps they have created. I know that the current system doesn't even support searching for maps that you have not explicitly imported already, so this suggestion may not be viable. I'm just putting it out there. Thanks! :)

I want to implement a feature where you can export replays(even non-finished replays) as an code similar to track codes, which you can then send to your friends for them to watch.

As for seeing someone else's times, it might be possible, but if you'd like to see the position on the leaderboard as well it would put quite a lot of pressure on the leaderboard servers. We'll see!

Kodub can you make the track parts a little wider for smoother drifting? Also can you make more dynamic track angles? Like a roll pitch yaw advanced selector for each track piece? This would make it better for tech mapping. Thx.

The current track parts probably won't be changed, but new wider track parts could be added.

Dynamic track parts are not planned for now

Here are some ideas that I think would be great to add into the game:
Hi Kodub, I really love your game polytrack. As I see the game, this is a way to have something similar to trackmania on any device (including my laggy & terrible computer) and enjoy racing online without needing the computer that is strong enough to handle trackmania. I have some suggestions - major and minor ones that I think will go very far in improving your game. (Sorry if I'm being a bit blunt in advance!)
1. I think that you should make the track parts a bit wider. By track parts, I mean the parts with a red and white curb and black border. I've been experimenting, and I think that the track parts (straight track parts) should be around 1 - 1.5 quarters of a full tile bigger (as in 4x4 tile that looks like its made out of cubes when you place parts in the editor). You might say - well, Coco, you can just set the grid to extra dense in the editor and then put half track pieces overlapping, but the thing is, its hard to do turns, and the overlap causes lots of lag...
2. I think the freedom with the "tech" style of mapping is a bit lacking in your current game. Part of the joy of tech is the angles of the pieces for flow and variety (and ease of drifting). I would suggest adding a 25 - 30 degree angle slant for each piece, not only the straight ones (which polytrack already has), but curves and turns and bends and stuff too. This would allow drifting and mapping variety to be better.
3. I think if you could add some scenery items, just a simple tree, or if you want bigger, a huge metal curve (just ideas) to make scenery easier to create, it would go a long way with the community, who loves their scenery.
4. Maybe add banked curves? I've been trying to make these in the editor, and the only banked turn I found was a 90 degree high curve that turned 90 degrees. Specialized pieces that allow you to make banked curves would be great.
5. Maybe add different turning angles? The current turn pieces only allow 90 degree turns. Having something like a 45 degree turn would be amazing.
6. I think this could really be great: add an evening or cloudy mood to the game. For the evening, It would be cool if we could choose our own light sources.
These are my top 6 recommendations for your game. I think at least some of these should not be too hard to implement. It would be amazing if you could do these. Again, thank you very much for reading this.

  2. I'm always adding more parts. As for new slopes, I'd probably add 45 degree slopes first.
  3. Trees is something I'm experimenting with and would like to add within the next few updates! Also terrain editing to go with it!
  4. Banked curves are coming with the next update! (0.6.0)
  5. No diagonal track parts are planned for now, but might come at a later point.
  6. Light sources won't be possible. See my other answers earlier!

Things like 45 degree slopes and banked curves would be great, but things like trees and a trees in editor I think yup would just ruin the Polytrack style and a select tool that allows you to move, delete and save as a custom object would be sooooo helpful and would reduce the time to make maps. Especially ones with things like trees or houses.

what’s coming in the new update?

I believe the next update will be multiplayer focused, although I am not exactly sure of what is to come. The game physics will change and the leaderboards will be wiped, so whatever take you have on that, watch out for kacky, press forward, or any other outlandish 0.5 physics utilising tracks that may not work carried over in 0.6! I personally am looking forward to the new start that will come with the physics change! 

I'm sure Kodub will be able to provide a more specific and detailed list of what is to come!

I’m happy the Outland physics is going because it was effecting my track that was only 3000 blocks high and was kinda annoying

On the topic of new parts, could we also have a darker green since there is only 2 shades of green in the editor (the green block and ground).

You could even make it so that you could pick the colour of the blocks yourself like in the car customiser, however it could ruin the Polytrack style a bit.

Not currently. This is because playing on controller would give an advantage compared to keyboard players.

To make this fair, there would have to be a separate leaderboard for controller players, so it will take a bit longer before this feature is implemented.

It looks like the car texture is very low resolution as well. Are you playing on a very low-end device? Or are you getting a software rendering warning when you start the game?

In The Previous Posts the Roads is Magnetic During the Wallride and Upside Down Tracks include Wallride to Up Curve Wallride to Down Curve and Flat to Wallride Straight and Curve

I was thinking, why don't we have a profile page in polytrack? A place where we can write about ourselves and get followers or show our builded tracks? - inspired from dashcraft.io

on top of that why isn't there a competitive game mode?

Possibly! I think it would be interesting, but there probably won't be time for the next 2 updates at least

Super simple one. In the editor, sometimes I have wanted to place a tile underneath another one, but then I had reached the minimum height of the tiles. A button to move all of the tiles in the map up (and down) by 1 height would be super useful.

would antigravity be possible???? What if kodub creates this space background for the new building system and like build parts like neon lights and etc..  Hypothetically, there could be a space season, which then can be open for more custom tracks.

I wonder if Kodub can add custom music to our tracks, like we can put the music of our choice into our tracks? They don't have to make the music if they want to, but we can just upload a music of our choice and then as we are racing we can hear the music as it plays, and I think its a good idea ;)

Sorry, nothing like this is currently planned. There would be too many problems with licensing, moderation and also the track codes would become too large if they had to embed music.

There could possibility be a small list of music tracks included in the game though, but not anytime soon!

Some suggestions I have are corners that go uphill/downhill, 45 degree angled tracks for custom chicanes and options like track length for the random track generator.

Hey kodub how many new community tracks are you planning for 0.6

A "Published Tracks" section added to the Official, Community and custom. How it would work would be that when you click on a map that YOU made, before pressing play, there would be a new button called "Publish" (idc the icon, maybe an upload button) and it would say "Are you done with this map" and there would be 2 options Yes or No. The way the actual page would look would be based on the day published. For example all the tracks published on March 1st would have its own little section. Obviously they would have to autodelete after a period of time. This feature would be useful for people who don't know that itch.io exists or don't have discord. I hope at least some of these features get implicated in the new update :)

polytrack no longer works on apple iPad. If it loads it gives an error about gecko and os failure

It only fixes after deleting cache and then breaks after reloading page

My hosting provider was making some changes which broke some things for a while. Is this still a problem?

You should add different car bodies and more tracks.

Different cars are not planned right now. I'd rather add more customization options for the current car instead.

New tracks will be added every update though!

KODUB, here are a some suggestions of changes you can make to the game:


1. I don’t know how the app store works, but I’d love to see this game on there.

2. Could you add custom track splines for us to be able to make more flexible tracks?

3. To add progression to the game, I’d like there to be a couple of track campaigns and/or the official tracks only let you play the next if you’ve completed the previous track in under a certain time.

However, if you play the browser version, this might be a bit annoying if the page refreshes, so you could make it so that the tracks that you have a record on are unlocked

4. 4 small cube wide tracks as an addition to the narrow 2 cube wide ones:



5. A few more in game music tracks rather than just sound effects

6. The drift sound is very cartoony and I’d make it more realistic


Thank you for reading all of this and I’d hugely appreciate if some of these things were added in future updates.

Out of curiosity, what is Polytrack made in?

  1. Apple has quite strict requirements for the App Store, so PolyTrack probably won't come to the App Store for a while. There is however a plan to bring the game to the Android Play Store!
  2. Maybe! But it's not something I've planned in the near term
  3. As a form of progression, I'd like to add XP & leveling which would unlock the cosmetics in the garage. I'm not sure about locking tracks though
  4. I'd like to add more pieces for the existing track width before adding any new track widths
  5. I've been considering in-game music while racing, but I worry it will quickly get repetitive and annoying. Might still be added though!
  6. I'm considering replacing most of the sound effects!

PolyTrack is written in TypeScript and uses Three.js for rendering, and WASM Bullet for physics.

In the editor, there should be an option to change the skybox to:

  • Day
  • Night
  • Sunset

With custom shadows for each of those

This would help with decoration very much

Night time is a bit tricky because lights won't be possible because the game needs to run on low-end devices.

Hey Polytrack if i try to go on ur website to play the game verifys me and then says blocked. Am I that good that you have to block me?

This is handled by my hosting provider.
Your IP address is probably shared with someone else who caused it to get blocked.

The device you use doesn't matter, what matters is the network you're on.

Either way it's not something I can fix

I am not using cheats or mods so i don‘t know why i was blocked. Is my acc still available on other devices since I got some good times on a few maps

Suggestion 1: I think that the track barriers should be less sensetive (like taller so that when you crash into them, you will not flip and only just lose speed and not ruin your entire run.)  This upgrade will also add more possibilitys like wall hits, to make a turn more easily and it will also make the game easier for beginners. 
Suggestion 2: I also found that when you flip, and your wheels hit the ground in a werid way, the car will then spin out of control, usually ruining your run.
I hope that you will fix these bugs and take my suggestions into consideration, I think that it will benefit the players in general. Thanks.😁
