The direction of the main screen constantly changing was very well done. I wonder if the intention was for Player 2 to be recognised on the right side of the screen from a certain point onwards. Has he become a digital ghost? Even if not, this game is simply brilliant. Thank you for making it.

I made a video of your game. It's at the 38:23 mark of this video.

Really love this one! A game that turned out to be the last letter to his son. My first playthrough, I thought that the whole game finished after you pick up the first phone call, though, and then I sit wonder why it's so short, realizing later that there's 3 parts lol. Really love the emotional story!

Gameplay is relatively simple, but the graphics are pretty nice and reminds me of Dragon Quest and Legend of Zelda for the NES. The story is the highlight of this game, as it was emotional and moving.

Great jam submission!

I don't know who Max guy is, but he should be in a good place now. I didn't even know his parents were involved until I read the developer comments. I think they are also in the same good place now.

The dragon quest zelda gameplay is pretty cool.

Hey everyone! I just want to leave a quick comment on here. I am very touched that the game is receiving heartwarming responses.

I want to clarify that the games events are entirely fictional meaning they are not real. Max is not a real character neither the father or mother involved in this game.  I wanted to aim for a REAL human scare.

That emotional toll that can be heavy on the heart and leave a lasting impression on you.

I tried to make the games characters as well as the grief of the father feel as real as possible. seeing some of the responses I have gotten has led me to believe I have achieved this goal.

I hope that might make those who thought this was real feel better knowing its just a story. Thank you once again for enjoying my game!

Losing a family member is the absolute worst. I hope you know Max is in a good place. I pray you overcome this grief, the most important thing is knowing he was here and  the fact that you're grieving means he lived a good life, and the people that knew him will cherish the memories they made with him.

Good game, I'm sorry for your lost, this game make me feel nostalgic because of the retro.

What a Brilliant way of converying a story, the only thing that could make it better is sound, I dont know if my device was lagging and so nothing played which is why I wont mark down sound desing points but either way its really good story telling.

Very heart-wrenching and powerful.

It started to get sad in the end NGL. Great work, your style of game making reminds me of the games that Odencat makes, like Bears Restaurant. They have a very similar creepy vibe as your game. Well done!
