This was tense, very much not my sort of game. It made me so anxious I tracked down the monster and got intentionally killed to get it over with 😭
That said, great job! You made me feel something!
I never thought that baking could be turned into a terrifying horror game, the idea of being stalked by an unseen threat that the player can only detect through a single TV screen in the living room, while having to fetch ingredients spread all over the house is just pure genius. I kept dying over and over again but i always come back and push through because it was addictive! thumbs up, I really enjoyed this one :)
good job! One of the best theme uses i have seen so far.
this is not my normal type of game, but my wife is into phasmaphobia and she would enjoy this quite a bit. overall a very good jam game.
maybe would have been nice to have like one more tv. somewhere in the house. i got killed walking into my own tv room. not sure i could have avoided that.
If you would not mind please give our game a try and a rating.
can you upload a webGL? if you do reply and ill come back and play and rate.
Sure ! Give it a try
Very cool idea. I was lost for a moment, but after reading guide on the game page I found it pretty fun experience. I would like at least 1 more hunch if you are close to monster or not though :)
It would be nice if the game explain itself a little more and be playable without a guide :)
Thanks for playing it :) . During development We talked about some sound cues or other possible hunchs to help players locate the monster, like making the monster visible if you are too close, but the time window for the Jam was closing and we feared we might not be able to make it in time, so we cut this feature. The same happened with our in game tutorial, where we planned a segment in which the kid teaches about the ingredients, how to cook them, and explain how the monster works.
I really liked the game, the concept’s super cool. Ngl, I was kinda confused at first trying to figure stuff out without any explanation, but then I saw there actually was one on the home page of the game lol. The idea of being able to see the monster’s POV and plan your strategy around that is awesome.
Good game! The time it got me was a real jumpscare. Would have been even better with a scary sound. Simple idea and an excellent execution.
Thanks! We planned on adding a creepy baby jumpscare sound, but we were running out of time, and we ended up forgetting to add it before submitting it.
I did not really know what to do but i guess i am making a cake? The how to play button does'nt work for me.
So i have no idea why i kept losing. I like the house and if you made all those assets in the 10 days you had good job.
A few pointers:
1) Once i was playing i needed to lose to be able to actually close the game (ar use alt+f4) maybe allow players to exit when they want
2) A mouse sensitivity setting would have been nice, turning was a tiny bit slow for me. It was not super bad but i would have liked some more speed
3) This one is a pet peeve of mine, when joining a game jam its always best to offer a web build it make playing your game more accessible and you will get more people rating. Of course is not always possible but most engines offer a web export.

So it is, that does explain a few things. Thanks
