How is your game related to the Theme and Special Object?
when filling in paperwork, the player's cursor is a pen, and they must physically check boxes and write signatures with the pen.
as the game goes on, gravity begins to go whacky on the starbase, making filling the paperwork more difficult.

Really love the visuals! Great pixel art!
Smooth gameplay, I like it!
the game looks and feels way too polished to be a game jam entry (a good thing). the art style is charming too, nice work
thanks! :) I've made a couple games in this style before (VN-ish stuff), so I was able to leverage tools & workflows I'm already familiar with.
one thing I did have to pass on was sound effects, but I would have loved to have added sounds for when Roberson crashes due to the gravity inversion, and maybe added scribble sounds, etc.
the last 24ish hours were spent on polish, and I was also able to get a few friends to playtest during that time which gave some nice feedback on where the form-filling logic was confusing, or just not great! I was sure to include their names in the credits, but I can't thank them enough!
I really like the idea!
I think an additional gravity-related mechanic you could add would be to make the pen hiccup (randomly stop writing), since some pens rely on gravity to pull down the ink as you write.
The character could use just a bit of shading, just like the background.
P.S: Which engine/framework did you use? My best guess is XNA :)
ha! good point about pens requiring gravity!
and yes: XNA/MonoGame. (if you sit on the title screen for a while there's a credits sequence I spent WAY TOO MUCH TIME on, which also mentions MonoGame :P)
Cool concept and I love the art! Could have leaned a little more into the gravity aspect, but the jam was short, so I understand some page rotation being pretty much everything that can happen due to gravity here. Writing with the pen feels really nice, very satisfying! Though I don't like the AI music.
