I agree to Lanterngeist's comment. Moving and attacks seems vague to me, but it looked nice. The old TV was there, but that was all.

I appreciate the feedback and taking the time to play!
I tried to incorporate the old tv as both a ui element for the main menu, as well as the main source of interaction and upgrading for the player. With more time, it would have also been incorporated into the ui for these elements, but I ran out of time.

Nice game. I am not sure how the health upgrade worked. I always got healed to about 95% and I could walk over the heart as many times as I wanted, but it stayed at the same percentage. Good use of the assets

I appreciate you taking the time to play!
This actually appears to be a simple ui issue with the health bar which I have since reworked locally at least lol

A good start for sure, will be interesting to see how you develop the idea going forward. This type of game always needs looks of iteration, playtesting, feedback and balancing to get the difficulty curve / upgrade unlocks working well together, to make the player feel like they're getting increasingly powerful, but still being challenged.

Developer

Thank you!
I completely agree. For jam purposes I probably over tweaked the currency a small bit.
Its hard to tell at the moment as the wonky combat makes it feel less powerful even with the upgrades.
A lot of work to do, but looking forward to continuing iteration post jam rating period!

I like how the game looks. Gmaplay is promising, and I would like to see post-jam version

Developer

Thank you!
I look forward to making improvements as soon as the jam rating period is completed!

Good start! The gameplay has a lot of promise.

It would have been nice to be able to avoid the slashers' attacks. I couldn't quite tell how to dodge or if I was. I couldn't make it past the third wave.

Solid idea. Worth some more work.

Thank you for the feedback!
I definitely plan to spend some time cleaning up and polishing the combat, as I completely understand where you are coming from. I experienced similar issues on playtesting but could only tweak so much so close to submission time.
I tried to compensate a little bit by adding the health station between wave to allow players to take a couple hits without to much worry, but some of the special waves, especially with the chainsaw enemy, can still immediately wipe the player.
Thank you for playing and the kind words!

Looks interesting! The combat needs a lot of work, but there’s definitely potential. Also, you should add a way to quit the game from within  😆

Thank you!
I greatly appreciate the feedback and I couldnt agree more XD
Cant believe I missed that.

Couldn’t open it — looks like you only uploaded the Unity project’s .exe instead of a packaged build. You’ve gotta build and upload the full packaged version so it runs standalone.

Thank you for saying something! This issue has since been resolved, and the appropriate Zip file has been uploaded. It should run as intended now!

Glad to hear that! Im gonna try it right now !
