Loved the atmosphere & this is a very cool take on the theme! I did get a bit confused on what to do, though. I was able to highlight three guys and watched them move about for a bit, and then after a few minutes one seemed super suspicious so I focused on him and he turned gray and the game froze and I couldn't do anything after that. Still, really intriguing concept and vibe! If this were a bit easier to understand I think this would be really fun to play.
Never did get the hang of it. I figured if I watched things play out I would understand better but whatever happened caused the game to freeze. I think it's the kind of thing that needs a visual tutorial to really understand it. The game looks and sounds great though. Good job on putting it all together.
I like the concept and the art style really helps bring out the idea! I use quite a big monitor and when i go full screen the UI doesn't scale with the rest of the game so the instructions were a bit hard to read, may be worth looking into after the jam!
Pretty cool. Crashes when the walkers get kidnapped. Took me 4 tries to complete. Got 4 of the kidnappers.
Very cool art and design. The simple models combined with the color palette make for a striking noir feeling.
After I knew what to look for, then it was pretty easy to spot the kidnappers. Their rapid movement makes them quite noticeable when taking the time to look. Though they did stop moving after the ladies got to around the sailboat. I'm guessing that's a bug. It'd be nice if there was better feedback when a walker got kidnapped like a scream or gong sound.
The window scaling is a bit wonky. If you change the aspect ratio to anything other than 16 x 9, then the scan circle changes to an oval.
The music fit well and the rain was soothing.
I like the creativeness of the mask for showing hidden things. It would have been better if the mask size stayed the same size relative to the zoom level so that zooming in didn't make it harder to identify kidnappers.
It'd be nice to be able to control everything with the mouse. Use middle mouse down to move the camera and make the camera move when the cursor touches the edge of the screen.
It got a little repetitive due to the pretty static positions of the kidnappers after restarting so many times. It's also a bit too easy to just spam investigate to uncover them. That's how I got one in my first run.
Overall a pretty cool presentation of shaders and art. Needs a lot of work, but it could be interesting. Congrats on finishing your first game!
I really like the shaders and colorpalette and the rain. they created a cool noir effect. I also enjoyed the music and it fits very well with the detective style. I followed the trio and managed to uncover 2 kidnappers. the third kidnapper snatched one then i uncovered him and then the game sadly froze :/ (i played in browser)
The pacing was a bit too slow for my taste, but other than that its a really cool game in my opinion :)
This game is such eye candy. Like the art style is SO cool. I was a little bit confused about whether or not I was winning, as there wasn't much of an indicator there. But other then that, its a super visually appealing game, and cool concept :) good job!
Extremely good looking game, a nice intersection of graphics and art style. I personally didn't think it was terribly fun, but I'm also not the target audience for this type of game.
I'll second that I'm not sure if I was winning or not. Some sort of more obvious progress indicator would have been nice. Btw, was the progression of events static? Like the killers/kidnappers would just appear in the same places everytime?
Anyway, super cool entry!

I wasn't able to do anything but move around the city and watch some little people walking and occasionally fly into the air. Nice artwork and vibes though.
