There’s a bug with the quest “Cure”!
I refuse to take the bribe money from the man in the mask, go into the house, check the table. After that, when leaving, there’s supposed to be an ambush (I found out when talking to Tadeas), but it doesn’t appear. I go to Tadeas, he talks about some ambush, and then I don’t know what to do next.
Also, I can’t find the blood stone — either I’m unable to find it, or it disappeared.
I will tell you the correct order of things. Tell me if you followed them or if you deviated in some way. It will help me to find the bug.
There are some variations and some steps are not mandatory, but you have to talk to Tadeas first before taking the bottle. If you try to take the bottle before you talk to him, your character will say something like “I don’t know if this is the correct bottle.”
As for the bloodstone, there is one in the deepest part of the caves and another one in the spider dungeon. You need a dynamite to get that one though.
To get the one in the caves, go to the main cave with the metal door (either through the beach cave with dynamite, or the wooden bridge cave by using rope), go to the bottom right and go to the next area. In this area, there should be some stairs leading down. Go there. Follow the linear path untill you see small wooden bridge. Cross it and there should be a bloodstone next to a backpack on the ground.
Previously, I tried going straight to the hut and only then to Tadeas.
I tested it using the steps you described, and the first issue I noticed is that I tell Tadeas about the ambush even though I haven’t been to the hut yet. I even tried going straight to Tadeas right after accepting the quest, but the ambush dialogue still appears.
You can also refuse the quest and still continue doing it—the quest even gets added to the quest log with the status “in progress.”
I also tested the bribery part, and it doesn’t matter whether I take the money or refuse—it’s the same outcome.
The dialogue part with tadeas is not intentional and most likely a bug. I will look into it. Tadeas talks about the ambush with you the first time you talk to him, but he says it was him who got ambushed. It basicaly tells you to expect trouble.
Refusing the quest is just a roleplaying option and doesn’t do much else
Taking the money and finishing the quest is also intentional. When I was making the quest, it seemed to me like something someone would do. Take the money and then continue doing the oposite anyway.
Wow, I somehow managed to complete this quest, since Tadeas absolutely refused to give me the serum. I was able to make the serum myself through alchemy by experimenting with different combinations.
I might not have explained the problem to you correctly, so here’s a small clarification: when I talk to Tadeas, our girl says that some kobolds were lying in ambush and stole the serum. And it doesn’t matter when it happens—right after accepting the quest or after checking the alchemist’s hut.
And about the Bloodstone — I was able to find it easily in the spider mine. I was just searching in the cave with the entrance near the beach, so maybe I was looking in the wrong place.
