Thank you for playing the game!

Could you elaborate on how you would like the control scheme to be improved? Controller rebinding was also supported but maybe I didn't make it clear in the game or on the game page, so I changed the wordings a bit. I know it's not the perfect solution since the preset bindings doesn't jive well on the web build, but at least you could rebind them to your liking.

And yeah, the grapple mechanics was commented on a lot so we will look into how to improve it for sure!

Writing this for Lizabet since she didn't know how to word the controls feedback properly, and I both watched her play this game and I also gave it a try! She ended up rebinding the grapple to Right Trigger as it was more convenient for her. Rebindings weren't too clear since they were the default Godot naming (Instead of Circle it just says Joypad Button 1, as an example).

Also we noticed that for the console buttons on the game's main page the Super Jump Button (Circle) and Grapple Button (Square) were actually switched around in-game (Circle was Grapple, Square was Super Jump).
UPDATE: Just beat it with controller (moose_2 in leaderboards), no issues found. Probably just user error/misunderstanding.

As for my playthrough I played via keyboard and didn't have any real issues with the controls. I managed to beat it (My score is named as "moose"). I thought the game was a great entry and it was a really cool twist on the theme with evolution, I didn't see that much from the games I tried in the jam.

Thank you for giving the game another try!

Yeah the controller input prompt icon display is a bit of an issue that I haven't solved yet since the Godot documentation on recognizing gamepads is a bit less informative compared to their other pages, so I just left it as the default name. But I do want to keep improving that system in the future and for future game jams.

Thank you for the compliments as well. It's great to hear you both have enjoy our game!

Yeah I had to figure that out for one of our games, man it was a mess and took me a whole month of on and off solving. There are lots of weird quirks with the Godot Engine I've had to solve (If you have high refresh rate you can actually see one of those quirks in both our jam game and your game)
