Ahh, this was so much more chaotic than I imagined it would be, and how cool was it that you were able to make this one on a Pico-8! I found it a little too difficult to nail the timing just right for my moves, but I think with some tweaks here this could be really, really fun. Thanks for making and sharing your game—I loved the art you went with for it!

The recharge time on the fire magic should be faster, and it is a bit annoying to die after getting a key, but I freakin' like this one.  This is chaos incarnate and there is little more fun THAN chaos incarnate! :D

Really tricky but interesting controls! A little rage inducing at the end (i couldnt get to the end) but it was overall really enjoyable and felt precise! The triple jumps were SO FAST though like I almost broke my arrow key mashing it that fast! But very satisfying landing a triple jump on the first try ¬‿¬

Thanks for the feedback! I admit, the last set of spikes right by the door at the end of that level is pretty brutal, especially after all those precise jumps. I guess the hints in the background can be a little misleading too, because you don't have to mash the down arrow three times in a row like the hints indicate, you can also just hold down the arrow keys to rapid fire, which works pretty consistently. I just updated the description to emphasize using this rapid fire mechanic. Thank you again for playing my game!

Neat idea. too much screen shake.

Developer

I didn't intentionally add screen shake, but I can see how the camera might be moving around too quickly. I'll try to add some camera smoothing. Thanks for the feedback!
