I'm a huge fan of monster romance, and the concept of a plant monster is so unique and exciting. I can't wait to see how the relationship develops. The art style is beautiful, and the characters are really well-written. I'm already so invested in the story and the mystery behind Dionaea. The dynamic between the main character, her husband Walter, and Dionaea is full of tension and intrigue.
I'm eagerly awaiting the full release <3

Crowdfunding Pitch
Goal: $5000 USD
Summary: Reeling after the loss of her child and with her marriage collapsing, a scientist accidentally creates a handsome and sweet plant-human from a venus flytrap. But when love and grief is consuming, it must be fed and sacrifices be made.
Tagline: Created a plant-human hybrid, and he may want to kiss or eat you.
Similarity to other visual novels: has a female MC, a monstrous (yandere) love interest and another physically attractive love interest, multiple endings, and one some of the main themes center around grief and identity.
What makes it stand out from other visual novels: To name a couple, first, MC has a preset personality and backstory that cannot be altered and pushes forward most of the story, but these factors can be explored through different choices and outcomes (that'll be expanded upon in later game builds). Thus, the game is structurally built with a tragic arc they player can try to resist, mirroring her MC's own struggle and the game's themes. Second, rather than keeping still images we aim to make the best use of camerawork to reflect what's happening in each scene, even if it takes more work.
Who is buying into your crowdfunding campaign?: Mostly women or LGBTQ+ people between the ages of 18-30 who want a horror-amare game in a futuristic setting, one that dives into the characters' (sometimes twisted) minds fully.
What will the selected funds specifically pay for?: It'd pay for the game to be up on Steam ($100 USD) and make back the time invested on the demo and are currently expanding for Erohorror jam. If we hit the goal we'd make a DLC after the main game release we plan post Spooktober. The extension would include more scenes (including suggestive ones) for both love interests intertwined with the original story and as a stretch goal the after-the-endings scenes. The game is structured so that these additions are possible without disturbing the original's flow. These scene additions include VA, programming, art, writing, and soundtracks/sound design. The rest of the money would serve this. Some rewards would be access to special server channels, personal Q&A time, mentions in credits, the chance to have 1 custom SFW or suggestive writing piece for the top tiers, and an animated intro. We don't intend on creating physical goods at the moment. We will plan anything else once we see the audience reception.
Why would the above rewards excite backers?: Because they are doable, very custom and that also can be exclusive.
How long would you expect your rewards to take to deliver?: After crowdfunding, a couple can be given immediately, and the rest possibly 3 months as there can be a queue as well.
Which one of these rewards would likely be the one most people would seek out?: I think the post ending scenes because they may cause the most intrigue or suggestive scenes. Then the custom scene.
Who’s on the team (or if solo, what relevant experience you bring)?: We're a new team but some of us have had insights into recent VN hits that are getting crowdfunded, and most of us are currently actively working on VNs (mostly free ones), long-term or making many short-games releases. As lead, I've worked with most of them multiple times so we are familiar with each others' rhythms.
What is YOUR story as a creator?: I started making VNs last year with O2A2 because I had always wanted to collaborate with artists as I am a writer at my core but love narrative games. I got most of my first experience wearing multiple hats from Spooktober in 2024, and from then on I fell in love with making VNs regardless of success and have been working/leading in teams to this date.
Suppose your backers are more invested in supporting you or your journey as a creator, and not strictly your visual novel. Who is supporting you, and why are they supporting you?: They're supporting me because they can see me grow from day one and get to taste familiar topics presented in different flavors. Regardless of the audience, I've always liked recording my creative experiences so they can see part of my story as I write and see part of what I write through my profile. I don't have a single aesthetic because I always collaborate, but whoever is attracted to games touching a bit on darker aspects of philosophical concepts and psychology through complicated relationships of often ambiguous nature, they can notice the pattern by looking at my profile. I'm a literature student, I write, and will always write.
Do you have any past track record in crowdfunding?: No, I've only been in teams crowdfunding but haven't done so myself.
If you could partner with any other creator or project for collaborative fund raising, who or what would it be?: It'd be with someone whose game audience could match my own. Some of these overlaps can be thematic, on shared elements/tropes, or shared artists/writers/etc. I think collaboration is most effective if we know audiences will match, while, say, a light otome cross-proming a dark otome could be rather jarring though not impossible necessarily.
How would you approach cross-promoting or help uplift the other creators in the bundle?: We can follow each other, share posts, plan shared promos in our emailing lists's devlogs or announcements if appropriate, cross-link, share fests, add easter eggs, and so on.
