...The unofficial FAQ pinned at the top of this category offers some advice.

I've read the article you indexed several times, but until now I don't understand why my game hasn't been appearing on Google or within itch.io for days. Could someone analyze my game or do I still need to wait a thousand years for my game to finally appear within itch.io? Please do it as soon as possible. I can't wait any longer.

This is the relevant section:

"But it's been a week / a month / a long time!"
Games in the review queue are prioritized by several criteria. The most important is having genuine traffic to the game page coming from outside itch.io. In other words: the best way to get your game reviewed sooner is to share the link around so people come and see it! If you wait for your game to be indexed it's just going to take even longer.
That said, if it takes a really long time, see the rules of this category for how you can get an answer more quickly.

No, it doesn't take "a thousand years". Yes, it can take a while. No, you're not supposed to wait idly. As a last resort, there are ways to speed up the process. Hope this helps.

So to index it, you have to advertise the game from external pages?

No.

It's not necessary. It's been explained several times that NOT all games require a manual review.

If your game requires this review, it's been explained that the review isn't done in order. Instead, the list is affected by several factors, one of which is traffic flow.

Should I wait? Because I'm in the same situation as the guy in this post. My game already has 200 views and a couple of downloads because I advertised it, and a few days have passed and it still hasn't appeared on the page. There's not much I can do except promote it and improve the page.

I see you uploaded the game 10 days ago, but you got an update just 13 hours ago.

I'd wait a couple more days (the staff doesn't work on weekends), and if it still hasn't been indexed, it's best to contact support.
