Out of curiosity, were you able to beat it without squishing the slime once? We do have different endings available - 0 crushes, 1-2 crushes, and 3 crushes.
I completed the game with one squish. Then I attempted to achieve a good ending and smacked my hand against the cabinet 💀. Therefore, only one crush.
