How did you implement the Theme: House of Remembrance in your game?
I tried to implement house sitting as a return to an old family/friends home. The story kind of went off the rails and I missed some of the remembrance cues, but leans towards a sinister past.

Did you implement any of the Bonus Challenges, and if so, which ones?
1) Dark and Stormy Night.
The game takes place in the middle of a heavy rain storm.

Does your game contain AI-generated assets?

Yes

Good buildup and had a good bit of tension and horror! Nicely made. Though it was rather dark and hard to see, but other than that it was well done!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback and for playing! I'm glad the tension worked out!

Lighting was somethin g I was considering because it did seem dark, I just was afraid to make it too "light".
Thanks for the feedback:)

I think my biggest complaint is the lack of a flashlight, but the shotgun was a more than adequate substitute. Kinda wish I could have it sooner. :D

Also at the end the enemies body blocked me in the bathroom and since the top of the shotgun was poking thru the enemy model I couldn't shoot it. But other than that it was nice experience.

And also I loved the news segment part on the TV with the footage of your previous game and all. That was really nice. :D

hahaha i'm glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for the feedback, i'll get to correcting that. I was thinking about adding a shove button to push enemies back, but I figured I wanted everyone to die in the end anyways lol.

Thank you for playing, im glad you enjoyed :)

Haha, well that sure was pretty tense for most of it! Of course, when you have to "survive" all the tension and horror basically vanishes, but had a good build-up of horror. I think replacing the combat with a chase would result in a higher fear factor, but otherwise it was pretty good.

Also, was it my imagination, or did eating the pizza slowly eat away the p i and z of the pizza? leaving just za? idk, could have been my imagination. x3

Never did find a flashlight, and I was confused what supplies my character was looking for. Also, like, are we sure HE wasn't the monster? what's a guy doing with all those things in the basement? I suspect there's more to this story...

Anyways, excellent job! Love the creative ideas, including how you did your credits! Keep up the great work!

Developer

Thanks for the super detailed breakdown! I love when people are able to find their own reasoning and outcomes within such a small story.
I will say the pizza text did not slowly disappear while eating hahaha, but that is something I could implement for the next one!

I'm glad you enjoyed, and I appreciate you playing and your feedback :)

I did! Also, I forgot to mention the new segments! How much of that did you do? That looks like it could soak up a ton of time since you also had the evil circle and everything! :O

I did all the news segment hahah. Its a bunch of my old youtube B roll footage from a loooooong time ago and a bunch of my animations hahaha.
I wanted to incorporate some kind of mention to the first game I did, and I thought a mix of real footage/game footage was the way to go.

Haha, so cool! I love that kinda stuff! Like a little anthology of your works. :D
