You are sooo kind. My goal in this game jam was to practice game designing (especially designing levels) and your comment gives me hope that I will eventually make well-designed games in the future. Thank you!
And yes! In real life, breathing is an automatic activity that we tend to minimise its importance in our day-to-day lives. The game tells you that it's good to pause and be conscious of your breathing. It helps clear your head especially during stressful events (like taking risks!)
I hope you and your wife (and Nibbles) continue making games. I will look forward to your future games and perhaps we will stumble upon each other in the next game jam!
