UnitFrog, I completely understand that this game is currently on hold in development, and there are still a LOT of things you need to work on. The only part I did like in this game is the upwards-moving platform where you need to dodge the spikes in order to reach the exit. Other than that, the platforming feels very clunky, and the hitboxes from the spikes are too big. I also wish there was some catchy music to accompany the gameplay. Also, when I stand on the moving platform, I don't move along with it. Also, I know that is your first game jam, so 3/5 stars from me, and excellent work, UnitFrog, on your first video game posted on itch.io! 🐹🍪🧪
Check out my game if you have the time: Owlet and the Biscuit Tower by Joshington" and let me know what you think of it. Thanks a million if you do! Like please, there's 8 hours before the deadline, so I highly recommend you check out my game before the ratings are over. Thank you so much if you do.
The level design was good. I like how it started easy to get one acquanted with the jumping mechanics. I couldn't get past level 7 or so where its one spike, small space, then 2 spikes together. Some music would have added to the game atmosphere. Good Job! was fun to try.
This was really cute! Great art style, and the platforming challenges were nice as well. There was a bit of wonkiness with the momentum on the moving platform in the final level where the player did not inherit the momentum of the platform after jumping over a spike, but it didn't detract from the experience much. Good job!
The cutest jumping animation!
Good work! Would be interested in seeing where this could do with some more polish
Making a game in 1 week is pretty tough, so good job for making something playable.
On the other hand, it lacks clear elements of risk, and while the artwork and physics are all there, some sound effects and music would add to the overall experience. Although I can't rate it highly for this jam, you should at least be proud that you made a playable game with some decent level design and programming.
This is uhh... a very basic game, you don't risk anything. The theme is not applied in this game.
