is this the handpainted artwork ? my A.I. paranoia had me wonder why use A.I. all the time for 8bit game boxart and flyers but i keep reading "hand painted inlay by Gustafson" everywhere ....

If thats the case ...

The game itself looks really great, the kid used to loove Zorro, played so many hours of that, so if this is really hand-painted i dont know when i'll find time to finish but i'll get it.

The old machine needs more finished quality releases (i hear its a bit on the short side tho but i guess it beats gamejems lol)

...

(please dont tell me this is A.I. after all now that i bought it)

edit  : the inlay that comes with looks pretty much painted indeed but this pic isnt, is it ? ... well i just tested it on a mister fpga

you need set standard c64 in hardware settings for the .d64 image or you get this

(im confident it will work fine on the meatloaf or kungfu cart on my real machine)

it looks awesome and plays really smooth, we got a winner, GOTY'25 material

reFLEX64 mashes up fan made cover art, so this one is not original. AFAIK this game is not made by Icon64 as his cover says.

Yes, this isn't the original game art. It's fan-art. The download bundle includes a hi-res picture of the actual hand-painted game art and includes .prg, .tap and .d64 files to cater for all C64 loading methods.

The image he used in the cover art also seems to be stolen.

thats what A.I. mostly does , isn't it ;) i think the art thats included for printing your own box or cover pretty much stands out as original, it has no a.i. vibe at all ... its sad sometimes, theres so many great artists who would probably do you a cover or drawing for free b/c they're drawing anyway ... but ... this is really a great game release - theres a lot of stuff for the c64 yearly, maybe not as much as the speccy but still a whole lot but most of it is ...

great to keep the machine alive while very few are fully finished polished prods imo
