How does your game fit the theme?
Encounter is built around loops: in story, in structure, and in meaning. Narrative Loop: The two beings can only try to connect in repeating cycles, returning again and again despite time, distance, and failure. Their messages are echoes of previous attempts, looping across silence in the hope of finally being understood. Gameplay Loop: The player loops through fragmented messages, revisiting and reinterpreting them nonlinearly. Each piece adds meaning to others, creating a loop of discovery and reassembly. Emotional Loop: The story explores themes of longing, misunderstanding, and persistence. Even when communication breaks down, both characters keep reaching; looping back to one another in the only ways they can.

Great game and such a creative concept for the game, the visuals are well made, Things got complicated really quickly I couldn't figure out what was goin on, maybe in the future you could make a more (tutorial-based) mission before everything so that no-one gets confused, but overall great game and concept 🙌

So beautiful, and love the concept of being a translator - reminds me of 'Story of Your Life'. The puzzles itself are a bit too obvious and doesn't give me the feeling of trying to decode anything, but rather just finding and clicking the correct option (I assume it's a bug that all the correct translations appear at top-left). Still this is really inspiring for a jam game.

Yes!!! We were hugely inspired by Arrival , which adapted the book, and Her, where the main character wrote love letters for other people.

we also kinda ran out of time for the puzzle mechanics so this was what we ended up with. Hopefully we can build on it after the game jam:)

Thank you for the lovely feedback

Great taste! I'd love to play the finished version.

Geez dude, this ui blew itch.io's ui out of the water. Definitely had to think through this one, but I really enjoyed the progression and narrative. We made a puzzle game as well, which definitely has a different take on the problem solving aspect, but we'd love to hear what you think!

Dang this was beautiful to look at! The thin lines and use of color felt so clean and fit the narrative beautifully. Great job on the entry!

A little bit more guidance at the start, or maybe some easier puzzles would have been helpful as I really struggled to understand what I was meant to do. It looked great and the sounds really fit the mood.

Very polished, and very unique. Nice vibe

This genuinely feels like one of the coolest concepts I've seen in the jam so far but it feels like you weren't able to get to the vision you had for it, I'm guessing because of the time constraints. It took me a little bit time to understand the gameplay but once I did it felt nice. I really like your writing and the story. Hope you're able to build more upon this after the jam :). Great entry overall.

Hey! Yeah we kinda ran out of time so it's not what we wanted it to be, appreciate you trying it out though!

I feel like this game has a lot of potential, but I felt like I was stuck at the start. I didn't really understand how to play that well, so I couldn't progress. That being said, I would love to come back to this later if I understood how to play better, the premise is very interesting!

thanks~ we weren't able to develop it as far as we would like but we will keep trying after the game jam.
Your game looks very cool too!
