I really like the cutscenes and that there's a proper ending too! It's a bit easy but that's fine for a jam game.

i want to be the vengeful spirit too! i played in broswer and there is not option to make fullscreen so it was a bit challenging to see all the details, since the background is brown and armadillo is a similar color it was hard to keep track of him. nice pixel art and i liked the sounds you chose as well

I think the ghost cat should have gotten faster as you got upgrades. The upper path is completely flat, while the lower one is pretty treacherous, so as soon as I got my first upgrade (jump), it was completely overpowered.
As someone said, adding collectibles could be nice, it would give the player some incentive to take a slower path to get a reward, at the risk of getting caught by the cat.
I enjoyed it nonetheless.
I hope the orange cat is not haunted, now ;)
