Well done! My 6yo daugther and I had a lot of fun. She liked the jumping most :)

The look & feel is cute, fitting, and overall pretty consistent considering you used some third party assets (hope that doesnt come across the wrong way - using different sources for assets sometimes results in things looking stitched together, that's not the case here, so well done!). The music fits the atmosphere so well, too! Although it does get a bit repetitive towards the end.

I didnt quite get what the cat is doing inside the cat tree(?), cardboard box and toilet - is it taking a dump? If so, the signalling wasnt entirely clear to me, but I get that it's hard to communicate without being too explicit :)

Overall, really well done!

Well you've got yourselves a hardcore fan over here. My 6yo keeps asking to play :) she made it to level 16 all by herself already.

That is so awesome! Thank you for sharing. You are correct in that we stitched together different assets, we did so for time and casual build as a game jam, :) The cat entering the different hidey holes, as I named them, aka the box, cathouse, toilet, is for hiding to not being caught by the girl, who investigates why dog is barking and calms it down. If cat is not hiding while she is there, then level fails by cat being caught, and can retry level. It is a way to still finish a level even if you accidentally get seen by dog.

Thanks for the feeback and glad your daughter loved it, she was actually part of our target audience after all!

And you're right that's something most people struggled with; including us! We wanted to have a way to hide from the dog even after it starts chasing after you, but we also wanted to avoid too many explicit tutorials. I think what may have been better would be to have a level with the hide spot and the dog in the same level, with no way to progress BUT using the hiding spot, in order to make it a little more obvious. Another thing Zackavelli said on the stream was to perhaps make it a different button to reinforce that it doesn't have anything to do with making a mess.
