You are correct in that we stitched together different assets, we did so for time and casual build as a game jam, :) The cat entering the different hidey holes, as I named them, aka the box, cathouse, toilet, is for hiding to not being caught by the girl, who investigates why dog is barking and calms it down. If cat is not hiding while she is there, then level fails by cat being caught, and can retry level. It is a way to still finish a level even if you accidentally get seen by dog.
