Cool game, enjoyed the different perspective!
Thank you! :)
This is something I haven't seen before in a roguelite, which I found very creative. While it could do with some more content and polish, this is for a game jam, so I don't expect perfection. Very well done!
Thank you soo much!!! :DD
Nice prototype. Could evolve into a good game with more ship layouts, a more convenient camera setup and some more general polish.
Thanks alot! :) Yes we will be adding a lot of this to improve it further!
Quite rough around the edges, but honestly really fun and the art style is super unique! It took a while to realize that the cards referred to crates spawned on the map so I died a few times not knowing where the upgrades were. After I got used to it, it was really good though so great work!
Thanks so much! Yes we will keep working on it after to polish it up quite abit.
Very nice! The mood is so good, all of the aesthetic pieces fit well together. I love gambling, so finding an EPIC item to drop was very fun. I bumped into an open doorway that didn’t let me pass, but I dashed through it because robots are just goated. A solid game, nice job team!
Thank u so much!!! :D
This was an interesting entry to play. Firstly, I found it very hard to understand what the game loop actually was because there is so little feedback. For instance, I couldn’t tell that I had died; I just thought the cards were timed on a loop. But once I got the concept, it was actually quite gripping. I spent around 15mins playing and only gave up when the last door was blocked and the only way through was to restart the game. There were a couple other bugs I encountered:
Besides these, I think the concept really could do with more polish in its execution. The walk speed was really slow, and bullets were an excessively rare necessity especially given how imprecise the shooting felt. Also, since we keep dying at the start, a lot of the boxes are just clustered near the beginning area with no use. Overall, I still had fun playing. I just felt its a very neat concept that was held back a bit by the execution but I’m sure this is just a consequence of the jam duration. Great job regardless!
Thank you for so much feedback I really appreciate it! Many of these things were due to a lack of time and are all extremely valid. We're going to take on all this feedback as we continue to develop our game past the game jam. Thanks a lot
I really love the art of the game, I don't know if it was made during the jam or before (or both) but your artist has his own style and it's really cool. Good job !
All art was created during the jam by @Shay03 (her) ! Thanks a lot!
Great concept I love the idea, this game is really fun :)
Thank u so much! :D
Thats the whole point of the game! It's meant to be really difficult at the start and the more you die the easier it becomes :) We didn't have much time to balance the game out though. Thanks for the feedback!
Great concept, I had a few bugs especially when spawning in, and the force field was a little bright. I would have liked if a little more ammo could have been provided, especially in the later stages, because I found myself running out of ammo and dying, not getting ammo and running out of ammo in the same spot again. Other than that I really enjoyed the game. Well done for such a short time frame!
Thanks for the feedback! We really struggled with time on the final day so didn't have much time to balance and iron out some bugs.
Great concept! loved having to keep playing and dying to get more powerups, and how its lucked based along with kind of being tactical. Artwork is amazing, along with the soundtrack. Couple of bugs such not being able to go through doorways after opened but because u can dash u can get through them so it kind of works. But for such a short amount of time its great! Well done.
Thank you sm! We will defiantly be working more on the bugs after. Thanks for letting us know!
great concept with leaving loot behind making each run easier, really fits the theme. great atmosphere as well! gj :3
Thank you so much!! :D
The concept of "you leave something behind" is real nice and works well! During most of my runs I died at the beginning, so I had a LOT of powerups once I reached over my past failures haha. Had a few bugs (invisible walls etc.), but that's to be expected in such a short jam. Congrats on the submission!
thank you so much !!
very fun, I love the way it matches the theme well whist adding to the narrative. great short demo!
Tysm!!! :DDD
