everything in this game feels so well thought out, i especially appreciate the robustness of the options menu. the upgrade cycle really draws me in too, i think i'll be sticking with this one for a while longer to unlock as much as i can. the only comment i could really make it that the visuals of the ui could be souped up a bit, i'd especially love to see more emphasis on the lil character sprites. i'd be interested in seeing how this would play if you had arcade-style wraparound too, though for all i know that could completely break the balance of the game

Thanks for playing. We've been doing the Godot Wild Jams, where accessibility is one of the rating categories, so we've built up experience with lots of options and aiming to be accessible. We've liked how much more polished the game feels with it, so continued to aim for similar, even though it wasn't a category in this jam.

The flavor text/dialog boxes, and the characters, where the last things added, when we found we had a bit more time. They are not as polished as they could be, and if we continue working on this in the future they will get more attention.

I like the wrap-around idea. We'd need to either add a range limit to the projectiles, or have them still disappear at the screen edge, as they are currently only set to go away when they hit something or leave the screen.
