In each level, there is a fixed pattern of some of the following physics shifts:

  • upside down: gravity and player are vertically flipped
  • half gravity: player can jump twice as high and falls down twice as slow
  • upside down + half gravity: combination of the other two
  • normal: no changes in physics

You always see what the next shift will be, and incorporate that into you decision on then and where to place a clone.

I noticed and I really liked this idea, it adds variety to the gameplay

Thank you for the clarification. I thought it was a fixed shift for each level which is why I got confused. I definitely think you should add a way to see the next shift or make it more clear that the shifts rotate each rewind.

Well, you do see what the next shift is in the top left of the screen. But maybe we could change the text in the level where shifts are introduced for the first time to make it a bit more clear.
