Very simple game but the environment and the tone were really awesome and spooky, it was really hard to understand what you are supposed to do but I think that if a control screen or description was implemented that would have been really nice I deciphered 2 of the Caesar cipher messages but quickly got tired of doing that, I think making the books plain text would have been a bit better of a decision. The scare of the monster was really impactful and I liked that there even was a monster, I thoroughly expected that it was just walking and reading books. Unsure of what the potion was supposed to do as well. I think there is actually a really good amount of potential in this game if there was just a biiiit more time put into it. The description said that the developer was busy and unable to work much on it, but despite that I honestly was surprised by the game as a whole! 6/10

Oh ok gotcha! I think that maybe explaining the core mechanics of the game in some way would be a good start (either a book or 2 in the game could have some kind of thing like "I've been working on potions, I made one with a red hue that seems to keep *them* away for some time" "I've created a new potion, this one has a blue hue. I seem to feel a lot less confused and able to navigate this damned maze of halls a lot easier now" y'know make it in character and fun) I had no idea that there even was a chance that rooms would loop, it just kinda looked like you were reusing rooms to save on resource development time. I honestly think that if there was some more clarity on the mechanics of the game and how it worked the game would jump from a 6 to like an 8 for me!
