Thank you so much!! That means a lot!! Yeah there was supposed to be a cutscene that was full of humor and would be a good point to hook people in but I wasn't able to implement any of it cause I focused mainly on balancing in the final hours of the jam :)) I actually had all the cutscenes written out on a Google doc on the games description if you want to check it out!! I'll definitely be updating the game eventually and polishing things a lotttt more

Oh ok gotcha! I think that maybe explaining the core mechanics of the game in some way would be a good start (either a book or 2 in the game could have some kind of thing like "I've been working on potions, I made one with a red hue that seems to keep *them* away for some time" "I've created a new potion, this one has a blue hue. I seem to feel a lot less confused and able to navigate this damned maze of halls a lot easier now" y'know make it in character and fun) I had no idea that there even was a chance that rooms would loop, it just kinda looked like you were reusing rooms to save on resource development time. I honestly think that if there was some more clarity on the mechanics of the game and how it worked the game would jump from a 6 to like an 8 for me!

Thanks! I had a lot more planned with the game but I'm glad I was able to put out something fun to play :) I'm definitely going to be updating it more over time with more features (cutscenes ((which are already written)), a mechanic to throw boxes, a more polished UI, and making the enemy AI more unique from enemy to enemy)

Very fun and cute game! I can tell there was a lot of inspiration from games like pokemon ranger and I really dig it! the animals are super cute and fun, my favorite being the frogs. The game is definitely very addictive and I can see myself grinding this game for hours. Making the loops felt kinda hard and like I had to be absolutely perfect a lot of the time and some of the audio levels need a bit tweaking, it was hard to hear the voice lines a lot of the time. I feel like a small bit of backstory also would have helped out here for the narrative, nothing much but something kinda small before the game or even in the description. I would absolutely love to have a more fleshed out version of this game in the future to play! 7/10

This game really suprised me! I was going into it thinking it was gonna be something pretty high quality but when I played it, I realized it was something on a different level entirely! The core gameplay loop is absolutely addicting and has a huge amount of depth within it! This is one of those kinds of games you'd see Northern Lion playing and it blows up all of a sudden. The assets are so cute and the way it ties into the theme is absolutely phenomenal. There isn't a narrative but there really does not need to be. If there was a narrative I feel like it would bog the game down really hard. Everything seems to be where it needs to be and does what it need to do! 10/10

Very simple game but the environment and the tone were really awesome and spooky, it was really hard to understand what you are supposed to do but I think that if a control screen or description was implemented that would have been really nice I deciphered 2 of the Caesar cipher messages but quickly got tired of doing that, I think making the books plain text would have been a bit better of a decision. The scare of the monster was really impactful and I liked that there even was a monster, I thoroughly expected that it was just walking and reading books. Unsure of what the potion was supposed to do as well. I think there is actually a really good amount of potential in this game if there was just a biiiit more time put into it. The description said that the developer was busy and unable to work much on it, but despite that I honestly was surprised by the game as a whole! 6/10

Very fun game with a simple gameplay loop that doesn't seem to get boring after a long time playing it. I had to stop myself from playing so that I could still check out others, the color scheme and spritework really convey the tone of the game very well, very retro Halloweeny and is very reminiscent of great games that have a more simple color scheme but still look phenomenal! The little cutscene at the beginning wasn't much in terms of narrative but it was just enough for what it was. 8.7/10

(Copy and paste of the comment i made on the game's page) I really like the car design and the lighting on some of the objects! The handling has a lot of potential but I would maybe make the side to side a liiiittle bit floatier. The sound for the gun and the turret in the track was waaaay too loud and seems to peak the speakers. I couldn't seem to figure out how to get through the lap, I was blocked by a line of white blocks that I couldnt shoot through at the end of the track, so maybe a better indication on what I was supposed to do to fix that would have also helped. It has a lot of potential and I really like it! I would definitely be interested in a more fleshed out version of this game! 6/10
