Agreed in full. Itch made a necessary decision so it and we could live and fight another day.

Already, some games are being re-indexed! My game was just today. Now, if I enable payment options, it becomes de-indexed again, but returns if I make it free again. So, not fully back up again, but this is likely itch taking slow, careful steps towards getting as much as possible functioning again. Even if this is as far as they can go, I could still use my itch page as a marketing platform to direct people who want to support me to a patreon or such.

We need to stay calm, let itch do what it needs to do to survive, and hassle the crap out of Visa, Mastercard, Stripe, and Paypal and hopefully get this entire thing reversed entirely.

Itch is not a benevolent party in this endeavour.

Some nsfw games have been re-indexed, even if they can’t accept payment. That means

  1. Itch is steadily working to put as much back to normal as possible or
  2. Itch wants to at least continue to host these games, which theoretically comes to as an expense for them while they’re taking up server space but not being monetized.
