Big and Mechanical! Definitely gave me the sense of hearing something big! The tuba, trombone, and French horns gives that large shape and to the sound and paired with col legno from the violin to create the engine / gear / piston sound! Awesome Job!
From the first notes, I was completely sold on your cinematic fantasy style. The slow chugging of the double basses with the soft timpani hits and distant-sounding trombone and tuba do a great job of conveying the immenseness of the looming being but also considering that it is a fair distance away still. I really love the melody about halfway in that is double on French horn and violin II/viola. That particular combination of sounds evokes images of Lord of the Rings or similar fantasy stories which, in my opinion, matches the mountainous landscape of your image really well. I appreciate the overall dynamic arch of your piece as if the steel monster is moving toward you, then over you, and then slips into the distance behind you. The image selection is a very nice choice and by itself inspires a lot of creativity, and your track allows the still image to play as a cinematic movie in my mind. Very good work on this! Thank you for sharing!
Well produced, would fit into -any- beginning of a strategy game as either the title screen or the cutscene intro where they're explaining the beginning of the story while the procedural world-map is generating. I mean the only thing detracting is maybe it fits -too- well and feels over familiar in that role or capacity. That becomes a lament about saturation not the individual person making the stuff! I mean you're hittin' it you're doing all the Right Things.
Gave you an itch follow, if you like the thing(s) on my page(s), consider doing the same.
Cheers!

The orchestration is good, I'd say. I'd like to hear more melodic ideas in there instead of the atmospheric, but that's a personal preference and I understand that it might not be the style you were going for. For being more orchestral-based atmospheric music, I think you captured the image super well! The spitfire libraries sounded really decent. Some attacks were abrupt, but the balance and orchestration were good. Did you use mutes in the brass in the beginning? It sort of sounds like it but that could just be the library honestly. If not, some muted brass may have fit super well. Great track!
Thank you!
I myself tend to write much more melodic pieces ^^'.
But in this particular case, to express the idea of “very big & strange,” a complex melody would not have been appropriate, in my opinion.
No mute!
Good orquestration, this is so epic sound and it´s a good production you nail it congratulations
Thanks!
It's incredible. The orchestration is so good. You really caught the peaceful atmosphere of the mountains (especially at the part with the high strings and flute). And you still got the threat from this monster in you music too. I love it!
What VSTs did you use, it reminded me a bit of spitfire bbc (the horns and the percussive strings)
Thanks!
A mix of musesound and spitfire yes.
It sounds really good! There's a lot of tension that never resolves, I like it. Just one piece of advice, if I may: try using legato more with the orchestral instruments. This way you don't have to hear a long attack for each note. It's a bit of a pain, but it creates much more realistic effects and songs.
Thanks! That's a very good point, thank you.
The orchestra sounds great! The harmony and balance of the instruments are at a high level. The atmosphere of the image is conveyed very accurately. Great music!
The only thing that bothers the ear is the short high clicking sound almost every bar, as if from an audio file ending abruptly)
Thanks!
These are violas played con legno, to add to the “mechanical” sound.
But it does lack a bit of balance, yes!
