That's weird, you should have 1 damage at the start of the game, and the smallest asteroids have 5 HP so it should take you 5 hits to destroy an asteroid at the start. If you could i'd like for you to try it again and confirm that it's still happening because other people that have played it said nothing about not doing damage at the start.

I wanted to do a tutorial but didn't have time at the end, the controls are pretty simple tho, you move with wasd and that's it, it autoshoots aiming at the mouse.

Yeah i want to keep working on it when the jam ends.

Thanks for taking the time to try it out!

Ok I tried it again and it works like you said.

I suppose the initial confusion stems from the fact that the game is lacking "juice" right now. In other words, it lacks feedback to the player's actions. In my first play I would shoot one asteroid and the bullet just simply vanish without anything else so I assume nothing happened and then I tried shooting a different asteroid, same result, not knowing that the asteroids are supposed to have an amount of HP and you have to repeatedly shoot it a few times. In a complete game they would do things like flashing, showing a number of damage dealt or play a sound when you hit something etc..

On the tutorial side, I did figure out for myself the controls. You should still just write it out in the description anyway though, you should never assume other players knowing anything about your project. You can update the game page right now even during the jam.

This is all to say that it's ok, it's a jam game and nobody expects a perfect game. It's just feedback that you can take for future development of this project or things to be more mindful of for other projects.

I apreciate you taking the time to try the game again ^^

Regarding the feedback on the hits, my intention was or having some type of animation or having a healthbar but as many other things i ran out of time and couldn't do it, but after the Jam i plan to take all the feedback and implement that and things that i wanted to but couldn't put for this Jam.

And yeah i will use all what i learned in this Jam to make the game (or future games) better, that's for sure, thanks again for taking the time to play it again,  and responding :D
