Alright, this.. was.. hard!!
I like the idea, but OMG DID I RAGE HARD. I go 2 platforms up and all the way down 😭

I love the environment, the art, the music. That stuff was really good

But Id say the gameplay could use a bit of tweaking.
After every jump, you need to wait for the arrow to get in the right  direction before attempting again.
That time between 2 jumps can get to your nerves, especially after just failing one.

So maybe a feature where we can just point our mouse to choose the direction?

And if you time it even a bit wrong, you cannot cancel the jump, you have to do it now. No way around it. This can get even more frustrating. So maybe  we can even change the direction after we charge?

Someone also mentioned checkpoints and I also like that idea! (unless you WANT this game to be a rage game :>. In which case, its already perfect xD)

Its def a skill issue problem, as even in the small amount of time I played it, I definitely grew better at controlling it!

Btw, speaking of control, i LOVE that we can just bounce off of walls, that is SUCH a cool addition!

And also the effect where you first throw the yellow part and then the camera pans back to the player and the other part follows the same path.

Overall, I love the visuals, sfx and music. The atmosphere is great.
The gameplay is definitely hard and that is probly intentional but I still think it can be a bit more balanced and forgiving.

Great job u guys! :D

I think not being able to aim with mouse and only having one chance to jump adds to gameplay skill in timing, making sure every press counts.
Also, if you manage to win, the game turns from a rage game into a speed-running game, and improving the time it takes you to beat the game is part of the gameplay loop, which is why there aren't any checkpoints.

But do agree that the overall difficulty is a bit too high! Thank you very much for playing our game, and for your feedback!
Btw, glad someone has acknowledged how the camera follows the shovelhead and the player, I put a good amount of work into just that feature :)
