RELLLY like this game! I love the idea of a momentum based platformer!
Extra points for putting in so much movement mechanics in such a short time as a newbie, I was just exactly like you, when I was making my game I had zero experience so I had to learn while I make the game, which made it so difficult.
This would be amazing with some extra levels and polish such as Music and SFX, pick or make something that'll make the player want to "go fast" type of music and satisfying jump and landing SFX.
When it comes to level design I'd suggest adding some sort of mechanic that will allow the player to turn around without killing their momentum, something I can think of will be bounce pads on walls, or a quick turnaround button. 
Overall well done! would love to see this idea get iterated and improved on! Good job! ✨

Thanks so much for the feedback, I tried adding a fast turn mechanic but I went the wrong way about it so it doesn't work properly, and on the last day I was close to having wall jumps conserve a fraction of your entry speed but I ran out of time before coding that in
