No it didn't start automatically into the tutorial, did I miss a button? If so I'll try it out once I'm back online
After the title screen when the control instructions appear on screen, press T to launch into tutorial. Your comment made me realize how much more sense it'd make for players to have to opt OUT of a tutorial, rather than the other way around :p d'oh
This sounds like a reasonable solution!
