Where can I see when Itch.io will start charging the 10% holding fee?

Hi,

I've set the preferred payment type "Collect by itch and pay later" and I remember reading itch is doing this for a year then it charges 10% every month, is there a place I can see on which date I will get charged 10% if I don't withdraw?

I think you're confusing concepts.

What you can modify is the percentage you share with Itch from your sales. This is 10% by default and can be modified in settings. However, this 10% only applies when someone buys something. For example, if you sell something for $10, $1 of those $10 will go to Itch.

EDIT: My mistake, you're just talking about the maintenance charge.
The other thing is a maintenance fee charged when you have unclaimed money on Itch for more than a year. This maintenance fee is NOT configurable as it is an administrative fee, and to avoid it, you simply have to make sure to withdraw your money at least once a year.

EDIT:

I don't think there's an area that shows you exactly what you're asking, but you could try to figure it out by reviewing your payment and withdrawal history on the dashboard.

Thanks, i found when the first payment was and perhaps it means I have a few weeks to withdraw to avoid being charged 10% fee.

Last time I asked itch.io support about this matter they responded that they had not yet implemented that rule - but that was years ago.

In any event, I tend to withdraw my earnings when it exceeds the minimum threshold, but it sometimes takes months to get there, and there have been no deductions other than the payment processing fees, and itch.io's cut.

Thanks!
