I didn't know what the riddle meant so I just started fiddling with everything and that works! The combat while simple, is very addicting! The crushed, contrasted and retro style is also amazing but the highlight of this game for me are the dialogues. I love babbling in old english so it's really fun seeing the language used in this game!

Thou creation thy adore, Thee shalt henceforth create more!

Thank you very much! Writing the dialogue (specifically the imp) was a highlight of the development period too lol

Ahh the visual style for this is excellent! Definitely see the vermis inspiration.  Takes me back to oldschool eerie point-and-click adventures.

Thanks for playing!

Sorry I didn't get very far into the game, but I love the old school rpg-ness of it all!

Sorry to hear that, and thank you for the playing! The video is super helpful for finding out where players can struggle.

Yooo, this game was sick! Lots of personality, fun puzzles and great aesthetic. The bg can be a bit too dark at times, making it confusing to make out the layout of certain screens, but overall I still managed to find my way around due to the good positioning of light sources. The game would also benefit from a checkpoint system (I jumped to my death like an idiot).

Great entry, definitely one of my favorites, amazing work!

Thanks a ton for playing and for the kind words! Hahaha I knew a lot of people would try jumping! That imp needs to be put in their place. Thanks for the feedback too!

You nailed the artstyle and the combat is pretty unique! I just wished that certain interactable items were more noticeable or have some sort of indicator.

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for playing! And I agree! I'd love to make indicators a bit more obvious in the post-jam build.

Wow! This is amazing! The art direction writting and music. Everything is so spot on! I only wish I could fullscreen the web version

Hi! Quick Godot tip: Windows often misidentifies Godot games as malware because of the "Embed PCK" option. If you disable this and instead include the .pck file along with the .exe file, you should have much less issues.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the tip! I'll do that.
