That's a very cool concept! And it's very well executed, no bug, everything is smooth, and well polished. The levels are well design, in my opinion. I really like the cape effect, I wonder how it was done, but it's a very cool idea that can be adapter in many gameplay. I also liked the music and the general atmosphere. Everything feels coherent. Well done and congrats ! :D

Thanks for trying the game. The cape effect is pretty much the tutorial wave shader but applied along a curve so that more "wave" is applied further from the head position and then scale by the player speed. I through it in on the final day because they looked to static then the rest is just lazy scale animation in engine.

I wanted to do nice cloth animations in blender but I'm veryyyyy new to 3D art so I couldn't figure out how to rig the cloak correctly to animate it.

Ah yes that's a smart idea using shader for animation! Although i was refering to the effect that makes other stuff visible, like markings on the floor. When we put the cape there is this bubble like zone of new visibility. And i was intrigued how it was done. Sorry for not being very clear ^^' On top of that, I feel quite stupid because you linked the video explaining the effect in the description of the game page, which i'm only noticing now  xD

But it high-lights something I didn't noticed before, the fact that you did all the 3D assets of the game, and they look great! So congrats on that too :)

Oooohhh, sorry, I misunderstood. Yeah the effect is a slightly modified version of the one from that video, the only difference in mine is that I added an extra uniform bool to completely discard pixels outside of the zone radius. That creates the "hidden" paintings.

I'm still very much a beginner at 3D but trying to improve by trying to do everything I can in my jam assets. But thanks!
