I didn't quite understand one scene.

Spoiler.

When there was a trial, the admiral wanted to shoot the main character. In the plot with Jin, Jin pushed the main character away? How the Admiral shot Elder? If I understood correctly, Elder was sitting behind the main character and if Jin hadn't pushed him, the bullet would have simply hit the main character?

Actually I will answer this as this seems to be a question many ask. So spoilers for Chapter 3

He was actually in fact targeting the Elder to begin with. To Jin, it looked like he was about to shoot you, but as someone conniving as the Admiral, he would choose something that has more of a painful impact to the village. Killing you would only bury him more, but killing the elder would yield worse situations. And that is what he wanted.

Thanks for explaining. I was just very confused and thought what I wrote above or that the admiral's aim is lame. This then explains why he shouted his insane phrases.
