Hi! Good to see more newbies out there like myself. I’ve never put anything out (or even really made anything presentable), but I’ve been playing around with Godot and GameMaker for almost a year now. I’ve been hearing from indie dev-tubers all over that game jams are a great way to learn and build confidence, so I decided to finally dive in and do my first jam! I’m nervous, but excited!

I’m not that great with art, but I’ve been doing a lot of drawing and sprite work in my free time to make my own assets as I use them. I want to be able to say that everything I’ve made, I did on my own, you know?

I totally get it, I enjoy the process and whatever is made at least I made it. Heck, before I started hobbyist game dev I couldn’t imagine doing any of this. I still got a ways to go, but I’m getting better little by little.

Likewise my projects have never seen the light of day. But Game Jams seem like a good excuse to learn more, gauge my skills, and build confidence. In the end I’ll at least have fun making it. Plus have something I can show people.
