I'm not gonna have my submission ready in time. This has been slow going, my game has fought me every step of the way, and while I've dealt with and overcome a ton of bugs, I've now hit a major bug that I have no idea how to fix, and even if I do fix it, my game is still only like halfway done. I think I've gotta throw in the towel. I'm exhausted, and while I'm far from burnt out on game dev, I'm really tired of working on this game in particular lol.

But this was my first jam, and I learned a lot and gained a lot of confidence in working with Game Maker, so this has been great. I'm gonna spend this year continuing to work with this and make stuff, and next year I'm coming back and giving it another shot! Really looking forward to the streams and seeing what all you guys have made! Great work to all of you, and even to those of you like me who won't finish this time, you've worked so hard and I guarantee you've learned so much, as I have. This is hard work, and you all should be proud of yourselves and what you've made!

Hi! Good to see more newbies out there like myself. I’ve never put anything out (or even really made anything presentable), but I’ve been playing around with Godot and GameMaker for almost a year now. I’ve been hearing from indie dev-tubers all over that game jams are a great way to learn and build confidence, so I decided to finally dive in and do my first jam! I’m nervous, but excited!

I’m not that great with art, but I’ve been doing a lot of drawing and sprite work in my free time to make my own assets as I use them. I want to be able to say that everything I’ve made, I did on my own, you know?
