Fun little game, I'm not the greatest at match games, so I actually really liked the upgrade system - helped make up for my lack of skill, lol.

I'm not sure if this genre is established, and this mechanic comes from it, but the way the tokens will randomly reset, instead of descending like in other match games, makes it a little hard to play around combos, but I think the system of shifting the row/column depending on the movement of the token helps make up for that.

I do like how you're competing against the other member, but I don't think I saw a  point display or anything until the end of the game - maybe I missed something, I wasn't paying 100% attention to everything else going on while playing, so having I think having the score show in between rounds, to know how you're doing would be a nice feature.

Other than that, though, I don't think I have much else. Thanks for submitting!

I wanted to implement the gravity, but because of how fragile the code was and I was running out of time and solo developing in a short amount of time, this was my safest option! And yea! Unlike other games where you can drag just one space, actually I like HuniePop's drag system to anywhere vertically or horizontally in the grid, so this is strongly inspired of that factor! Also the points are kinda purposely hidden and to be revealed in the end, again short time, and because they like to suspense the audience! I'm glad you enjoyed the game regardless! That's more than enough for me!

(What was your first run, character and ending btw?)

I picked Flayon, but Ollie smoked me by the end ;-;

Oof, I see! (Perhaps you matched her tokens accidentally? Or suddenly after a match...)

Yeah, I was probably matching some of hers accidentally - I didn't realize they had corresponding tokens until after my first attempt (negative visual comprehension moment)

It's times like these that I should have trusted myself more, If I had more time I would have give the warning in the Tutorial Sheet... Putting in the description wasn't enough so the confusion is understandable!

Such is the curse of game jams, can't catch everything that slips through the cracks!
