Hey, thanks for giving it a try! :D

Sry about the restart and level select buttons not working. I faced many file corruptions and "files not existing" issues. Fixed most of them but gave up when I couldnt control it

I also couldnt add a well laid tutorial explaining the gameplay and mechanics, I just added that in the description tho if you wanna try the game with some more knowledge :)

"Magic also seemed a bit superfluous."
Could u explain more about this?
Like did it feel too out of place? the different spells werent compelling enough or somehow felt useless?

I tried to give each spell a specific use case and was kinda surprised by this (Though it could be cuz I didnt explain the freakin use case ;-;)

- Light a torch: cheap spell to keep mana from overflowing and provides extra vision

- TimeBomb: Releases mana only AFTER the explosion so you can lure death away from key points

- Compass: Gives u the general direction of death but also gives death your location

- Teleportation: another way to lure death away from key points or by using it as a fail safe (Id say most useful and thus expensive)

- Laser: The most expensive but also the most useful, as u cannot pass certain levels without it

Anyways, thanks again for the feedback and trying it out :D (Ill get some sleep now, will surely try out yours in a few! :))

By "superfluous" I meant that magic is more like the implementation of ordinary functions. Not in the sense that they are not useless, but in the sense that they rather have the functionality of classical mechanics. An analogy is "The magic that allows you to move forward" or "the magic of interacting with objects."

Ahh, I completely agree with you on that. I just took some mechanics and covered them up with a fancy blue makeup if you will lmao

I did focus more on the pre-requisite than the theme!

Thanks for clearing that up!
