Looks great! I'm very much into 'clicker games' in particular modern point and click adventures like Samorost. The main reason is that they are accessible for mobile devices. As for your game I would suggest having a toggle to bring up the instructions after the game has started because most people won't read the instructions until they need them and it's a shame to have to restart the game. 

Noted, might be able to get that done before the end of the jam.  Got work soon though.

Managed to get this change implemented, took a little bit of bouncing around to convert the approach and get it working as intended, but it seems to be working with pause states.  I've tested various ways of interacting with the instructions and think I've caught all the variables.
